2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

I saw this poll on the Saints official website and I thought it was a good one. So, who do you think it will be?

I say Ingram

I want to say Khiry but I'm hoping it's Ingram.

Ingram if he stays healthy

Ingram. They'll give him the bulk of the carries.

I am going to say Robinson gains around 800 yards to lead the team.

Ingram but Robinson will be close behind though.

Player to be drafted...

I think they plan on giving him the bulk, spell him with KRob, and use Pierre on screens and certain run plays.

I think it'll be Mark Ingram, but wouldn't be surprised if Khiry runs wild. Idk why but something tells me Ingram will struggle more than he'll be a factor.

I voted for Robinson but wouldn't be surprised at all if we drafted somebody in the later rounds or pick up an UDFA that grabs the opportunity and runs with it.

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

Ingram looked much improved in the second half of last season. As did the O line but he ran with purpose.
Ingram will be the leading rusher but Robinson will have 3-4 games with higher rushing yards.

In yards or carries? Give them all 50 carries and my money is on Robinson for yards.

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

Ingram will get the most carries and if the O line play how they did in the playoffs, ingram will lead us in rushing

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

I don't think we will draft a RB this year. Maybe pick up an UDFA, but not draft.

Too many changes from the status quo already for me to feel like there aren't some more changes to Paytons plan this season coming, mainly at the ground game. it will still be Rb by committee, but not a huge committee.

We started carrying extra RBs because we got burnt one year... Well those extra RBs meant Payton got burnt in 2013 because of a lack of offensive line depth. We presently have 5 ball carriers on this team.

"Ball carrier?" Hmmm, I see a class action lawsuit here. The equipment managers all carry balls do they get elite pay? Better get Drew to explain that!

I'm not going to blast that statment. Good job.

I love Drew but he really needs to shut his mouth and enjoy his vacation.

Ingram will be fed the ball a lot more to start the season. But I have a really great feeling about Robinson. I think he is going to be special.

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

Ingram
Thomas
Robinson
Cadet

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

Ingram will start the first 4-6 games, then Khiry will take over as #1 on 1st and 2nd down with Pierre on 3rd. If Khiry were to open the season as the starter, he'd have 1300 yards, especially in what appears to be an offense recommitted to the run this season. Let's hope all three can stay healthy.

Khiry - 850
Mark - 575
Pierre - 450
Lorig - 100

This is what I was thinking. The only question is will they feed Ingram knowing that he is a FA next year. I would love to see a RB distance himself in camp but it's doubtful. Ingram and Robinson ran like beasts late in the season but PT is steady all year. Crap, who knows!

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

I'd like to see Ingram run the way he did in the playoffs. If he can do that, I can see him getting 15-20 carries with Robinson getting about 10-12 and Pierre being the 3rd down back and in passing situations (i.e. 2 min drill, if we're down late.)

Im more concerned about who is going to be the short/goaline back. We need to get better at punching a hole in thr defensive line and regaualy getting them short yards. I do not like seeing Brees end up taking unnecessary hit when he does it.

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

I have a hard time answering this until we get a stud C, but out of the 3 I like Robinson, Cadet has shown me nothing and with Sproles traded I would love to get another back in the draft.

If SP sticks to his stupid ways of not recognizing the talent he has in Robinson, I guess we'll be stuck with watching the two yard wonder all year.

I went with Khiry because I'm usually wrong all the time, it will be ingram because he will get most of carries and Khiry will be in mop up rolle.

Re: 2014: Who will lead the Saints in rushing?

I love Ingram. If healthy, he can get the job done. But, Robinson is a more dynamic back. While I love Thomas as well, I fear his return will just continue the horrible one play per back rotation. If the Saints truly want a balanced attack, hand the ball off to Robinson/Ingran and take them out when they raise their hand. Otherwise, it's just lip service and more of the same.
