I believe 2013 is the only year that we have not had at least 1 since Sean Payton got here.

The Saints have not drafted a player from LSU since 2010 (Al Woods, 5th round). Two since 2004, which was the Devery Henderson pick.

I think Saint fans are selling the Dome out with or without LSU selections. But as I said, if we do select Beckham, I hope I am wrong about him. Time will tell...

I suppose i should have said tickets and jerseys... I wasn't meaning any LSU player in particular but there will be one.

Odell Beckham. Jordan Matthews. Moncrief. Brian Cooks. Two of them would be nice. Beckham and Cooks would make us the fastest WR core in the league when put together with Stills and Morgan.

I seem to be in the minority but I see Morgan just like Ivory.. If you get 10 games out of him in a season you are lucky.

Even with his 14 games in 2012 he still only had 21 targets and 10 receptions.

Doesn't mean he won't be targeted more in 2014...

That is an interesting comparison. I liked what I saw out of Morgan in 12, and like Ivory, when he was in the game he seemed to make a positive impact.

I still like the idea of going after a guy like Sidney Rice as a stop gap for this season. If the contract is right, and he'd take a prove it to me type contract I don't see how that can't hurt. It would give us a little bit more flexibility to take the BPA in the first round.

Doesn't mean he will be healthy for more than his 4 games per season average. :)

Ah, there is a lot of LSU wr's in the league and have done good. Bowe, Henderson, Doucet, Lafell, Randle and Toliver are all still playing. Bowe has been a beast with Henderson and Lafell playing solid. Randle is a future stud. So yes, you are wrong.

Nah, I agree. Just hoping for the best out of him.

With all due respect voodooido, you sound like an LSU supporter... and that is fine. However, we are talking about spending a first round pick here. Bowe is the only receiver who has produced anything close to what a first round pick should produce. And, I think if you ask any other Chief fan they might tell you he has been more inconsistent, than consistent. Randle was decent last season, but needs to improve on his route running. He should get his chance this year coming. Devery was a solid receiver who would spread the field with his speed. However, he was not a first rounder and never produced as that. Doucet, Lafell and Toliver... really?

As I said, if we do select Beckham I sure hope you are right and you can tell me how wrong I was for many years to come. However, until an LSU receiver can show consistency as a top level preformer... I'd rather select a player with better producion than potential.
