Re: Last Wave

I wouldn't be against bringing rice in for league minimum but he might get injured signing the contract

Re: Last Wave

A better starting C is needed on our front line. Martin in the 4th.

He was running around the field like a chicken with it,s head cut off in game one. it was so sad it was funny. only difference in game two the saints told him to stop running around. i will give him this he took a while to push backwards in game two. i would be hard pressed to say he held is ground.

lets give the kid from Grand Valley State in his 2nd year a break. he proved himself to be a solid developmental player that deserves a shot at another year of coaching.

My question is were are all the Alex Mack people now that draft upon us?

mid round really? we have no center and you draft a developmental OC that is no where ready to start? strike early the draft it aint that deep at OC. the top two or maybe three look to be possible day one starters. after that they need coaching like Lito, solid but not ready to start by all odds.

repeat after me

OC is a glamor position that is a flashy pick in the draft and the fans will love it!

The Mack ship has sailed.
I wouldn't have a problem with another year of DLP. Lack of interest might mean what we already know, that Brees makes his linemen better, or at least look better.

i agree with Drew making the OL better but i think i would say he makes his OT look much batter than the oC and OG. he moves so well in the pocket.

that is why OC is so high on my wish list. the interior of the pocket must hold up because any push up the middle neutralizes Drew way to much

same argument as last year for me. every yard of penetration makes drew 3 inches short in the pocket. as we all know, he does not have the inches to give up as it is.

as for the ship sailing on mack i know how do you go from wanting the best OC in the NFL and knowing the needs to drafting an OC in the 4th or 5th round and praying he can plug the hole?

I call this the glamor effect of the draft and not going with the BPA on the board. lets face it a solid oC will not sell tickets or generate the buzz of other positions.

sacks and TDs generate more fan PR than keeping Drew up right and opening wholes for the running game.

OC get the no respect
