We need three quality starters. Our 3rd safety is on the field a lot more than on most teams. Losing Bush isn't a major disaster but it is a set back. One more hole to fill. We don't know if Ball is even NFL material so I'm not counting that egg before it hatches.

It is the CFL, but he had 142 tackles, 5 special teams tackles, 7 sacks, 4 interceptions for 75 yards in 2 seasons 2 defensive tds, 3 fumble recoveries as well

Hicks translated from the CFL quite easily and well, so I'm gonna assume the coaches know what they're doing

I don't think Hicks ever actually played for the CFL. I think he got drafted by a Canadian team but I don't think he played.

As noted prior, Hicks didn't play in the CFL, but Tom Johnson did. While he wasn't a superstar, he was a good enough rotational player. Also keep in mind that Seattle's CB Brandon Browner spent 4 years up in the CFL Brandon Browner | Roster | CFL.ca | Official Site of the Canadian Football League

I wound say a 3 year contract in a season when we are giving out 1 year deals speaks a little to his NFL worthy tangibles.

I doubt we match the offer and dont really blame Bush for taking any offers. He isnt a kid anymore and needs to show he is a true starter and should get a multi year deal. He showed plenty of flashes but he was the third safety on tbe roster in snap counts and would likely have been 4th had Harper not missed time. Id love to have him as a third choice safety and like his skill set but he can be replaced by a vet like Bailey or a rookie in the 3-5 rounds if the teams needs depth.

Re: Rafael Bush Signs Offer Sheet

I loved the hit he put on Harvin in the playoffs and his production all season, it would suck to loose him to the Falcons but it wouldn't be the end of the world. RR would find someone else who's strength is the 3rd safety, lets just wait until Tuesday to see what happens, in Loomis I trust
