Wasn't Johnson a FB last season, now listed on the D next to Hawthorn at ILB. He has the size.

He was a MLB in college for Tennesse but was listed as a FB last year.

Dont know much about him. Just read his profile, I doubt it as you would have thought he would have been drafted or spent time as a LB in preseason. Who knows though, maybe Ryan has asked him to try out as a LB again.

Hmmmm marcel jones on practice squad all of last year an bryce harris on active 53 roster all year in fact byrce harris active on game day as prime tackle backup nope someone not doing homework along with several other players not spoted right on depth chart.

You'd argue that cornerback is more of a pressing need than our linebackers?
Irregardless what PFF says, I'd argue our inside linebackers were very limited and underwhelmed last season... While I applauded the trade for Haralson, I'm not convinced Butler, even if he was healthy was our guy opposite JG - we could use a young Ahmad Brooks there (Attaochu)... But we just look lost up the middle on defense with our inside linebackers - though the Safeties have been shored up... Understand many are concerned about Center - I'm not and believe Payton may like his latest diamond in the rough with Lelito... Even still, wouldn't draft a Center that high as there's not much separating the top three Centers from the next tier... Am concerned about our aging Guards and depth there, as well as Tackle... As critical as I've been of Robinson, do hope that Bailey can set the tone and get Robinson righted, worthy of the first round pick... |

In looking at the depth chart, Corey White could easily shift to Safety, which should be more suited to his skill set...

I think we need to rethink the lay out. teams seem to always have 3 wr to 4 wr set over 70% of the time now a days
we have our wr1 and wr2 and Slot (WRs) why not the same for CB? CB1 CB2 CBn and CBd ? CB (1) Keenan Lewis, CB (2) Patrick Robinson, CBn Corey White, Stanley Jean-Baptiste (R2, 58), CBd Champ Bailey, Rod Sweeting, Not sure where the others will fall into Trevin Wade (ERFA), Derrius Brooks (FC), Terrence Frederick Dam pass happy NFL is going to make teams really deploy a most specific set of CB. |

Machine, quickest fastest and mean hitting SS of all the FS and SS in the draft. He would have been a big plus in this area. he would have almost shut down the mid range all by himself. limiting it to a short pass in front of our ILB giving them a better chance of impacting the play. If thy missed he would be there to hammer them ;) oh well expect that area of the field to once again be wide open all season long. |

Selected odds-favorite to make the squad to see how we might look...
No way we keep that many interior linemen, but the depth there is still questionable... Doubt we keep six (6) receivers - Toon is likely gone, as is Morgan... Unless someone comes into camp with the lazy@$$, our d-line returns with Uko the likeliest to replace the departed Tom Johnson... Listed Corey White as a SS; he played and is likely to move their based on the other kids we already have; but he'll also likely play at CB... Like the chances of one, if not both, the interior linebackers being overtaken at some point, early in the season... Hoping Micajah Reynolds can prove to be a beast and transition to Guard; as well as bring some of that defensive nasty mentality to the Guard position... Pulling hard for Robinson to turn things around and fulfill that potential...
