Saints sign Champ Bailey

Love this signing! We need some veteran influence in the locker room and Champ has a ton of respect from the younger players. Even if his performance is less than his "prime years", he provides the team with great value as a mentor and a leader.

The First Quarter Pick 6? Yeah, Vacarro just jumped the seam route and took it back...

...uh, well, the Second Quarter Pick 6? Byrd slipped underneath the post route like he's always done and...

...oh, the Fourth Quarter Pick 6? Sorry, I've lost track, Bailey came in with the second wave of backs and just snatch the out route and ran it back...

How time flies ... if I'm not mistaken he was the guy the Redskins took when we traded our draft to get Ricky. If I remember right a lot of us fans were hoping the Saints could get Bailey, but Ditka had other ideas. Better late than never, eh?

Just think of the players we could have drafted if not for Ditka and the Williams trade...

At the very least a solid #2. Makes the draft really interesting... maybe take a WR in the first now... or maybe an OLB... or we could still take a CB and have Bailey tutor him.

with BYRD helping it gives less responsibility to Bailey....notice when we had sharper Porter looked like a stud....same here except a lot of knowledge is on the field
