Saints Rumors: Robert Meachem, Jabari Greer, Jonathan Goodwin could be back

According to the NFL Network’s Albert Breer, the Saints could bring back some of those players, and he lists wide receiver Robert Meachem, former center Jonathan Goodwin, and Greer as three examples of veterans who could sign with the team ahead of training camp. The Saints recently added Champ Bailey, but they could still re-sign Greer, who is cheap and still played at a solid level last season. A CB trio of Keenan Lewis, Bailey, and Greer would be a solid one in front of the elite safety duo of Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro.

Would be delighted to have Goodwin and Greer back for the right price. Meachem would have to be real cheap as id rather get draft players at WR

Solid veteran moves with Goodwin and Greer
Meachem would be cheap i think the chargers are still stuck paying him. either way no biggie. he just another streaker on the scrap pile

I wouldn't mind any of those moves. Meachem knows the system and will make a couple of big plays every year.

Nothing wrong with bringing all 3 to camp. If no one beats them out of their job, then it was worth it.

Greer is the one I'd like to have the most. Hard to believe that knee would be ready. PUP perhaps?

Hard to know for sure, adrian peterson came back from an ACL and MCL tear in 6 months and had his best season, just depends how greers rehab has gone

Just imagine if we could get Greer back 100% sometime during the season.

Given that he would probably split time with Bailey I think it would be quite nice. Both of those guys scare me with Champ's age and Greer's propensity to get hurt, but as a duo sharing time, I would feel pretty good about that.
