A Football Life-My Interview with Lance Moore

I hope the Saints didn't make a mistake releasing Moore. It doesn't sound like it was a money issue; I wonder if the Saints asked him to re-structure?

“It’s very tough to leave New Orleans. The fan base is incredible and I have built many relationships in the last nine years. It will be hard to move past that, but I understand that the NFL is a business. The Saints brought me in, sat me down and told me they were ready to move on. I understood, but it doesn't make it easy. I have built a life here in the last nine years and it won’t be easy to move on. I will miss my teammates and the relationships I have built within the city of New Orleans." Moore said -

I will never forget that catch he made when we played Baltimore he was in the back right corner. Marcus was the original target but the ball was tipped and Moore caught it after bubbling the ball while stretched out of bounds. After the review it was a touchdown. We lost the game but that catch made me go out and buy his jersey the very next day. Lance Moore will forever be a top notch stand up guy in my eyes. Who Dat.

Lance thought he may be asked to take a pay cut, but that was never discussed. they never offered that. He went in had a conversation and they told him they were ready to move on. I am the Author of that article and I did the interview. any other questions?

Very nice writing, Chris. I am not familiar with the site linked, or your background, but it certainly moved well, and was good reading. Im a big fan of Lance Moore, and guys like him are one of many things I love about our team.
I like the personal link also. Some might hate on it a little, but I think it adds interest. I really hate losing Lance. and his mom. Im not much on stats, and much more interested in humanity.

If there was ever a time for him to step up, it needs to be now

All I remember last season is him making a spectacular grab vs the bears for 40 yards, and then dropping every pass thrown his way afterwards all season
