This needs to be merged. Week old plus news now and at least three threads on this.

Not trying to be a smart ass but if the thread title had been updated to include the option in fact did not get picked up I wouldn't have made another post. I looked around and all I saw was this thread with the same title it had 3 weeks Ago or whenever it was started. I had already read about 4 pages of it. Didn't know it had been updated.
I mean no disrespect.

This is totally a head game on the Saints part. They wouldn't let him go but they will try and make Mark think that so they see what he's really made of

$5m is top 10 RB

Jamal Charles 1200 yards and 12 TDs 4.7m/year 13th highest average salary.

That'll only happen with an Ingram focused offense. Same thing as saying that's not gonna happen with the Sean n Drew show. Even though RB centered offenses make it to the playoffs and even Superbowl every year... every other year... every decade... every...

I don't see how it's a head game. It's a money game.
In no universe is the 50th best player at his position worth top 10 money.
The 5th year option was easily double what he is currently worth

Pass. Wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.

You said speed. Hey ScottF you trying to start a fight. I'm low on meds and you know how I get the first of the month. lol Just funning ya dude. I really think he hasn't done anywhere near his best yet and if they pounded him 20 to 25 times a game he would have a breakout season for sure.

Mark Ingram has just managed to play in 16 games 1 season of his career with 9.75 carries/game. You want to more than double that work load and hope he stays healthy?

Good luck to ya.

Ingram is an average serviceable running back, in 2013 he preformed poorly when the rest of the pack preformed poorly and well when the rest of the pack preformed well. There has been zero evidence of greatness or durability as a primary running back since he has entered the NFL.

:stupid:
I'm with you. Ingram just hasn't lived up to his college production. It's unfortunate but it's true. I hate it too because I loved to watch him tote the rock for Alabama.

Honestly..... I love to watch any player in a Saints jersey do anything great... I have nothing to gain by Mark Ingram not playing at the level people thought he would.

I was a fan of Mark Ingram Sr so quite naturally I'm a big fan of his son. Hopefully he gets his fair share of carries in 2014.

Roll tide.

Then he either does it or dies trying

Aren't we moving to a ZBS?

A year ago and it has/had zero effect on RBs.

Then I guess Robinson is the future. But we will not run enough to develop a elite NFL rb. Might as well re-too the receiving.
