Tie guaranteed payments to w/l record
If Benson wants to get guaranteed payments from the state we should tie the annual payment amounts to his win/loss record. So if we said he was eligible for 20 million he would he 1.1 for every win. I think that's fair. Why should he expect a top money making franchise for a bottom feeding team.

That\'s an interesting idea. Benson\'s argument will probably be that he still generates revenue for the State if they\'re good or bad, but I bet it\'s less in years like this. I agree - an incentive based payment schedule ain\'t a bad idea. Of course, you couldn\'t suggest that he only get paid the full amount if they go 16-0. You\'d have to base it on an 11 or 12 win season, max at 20 mil or whatever he wants.
