I want Ingram to do good, he has just got to show that he can start a season like he ends it.

Agreed, but in this style of offense I don't think we will ever see a consistent running game from any of our backs. At times during SP's reign, we have shown the consistency to pass as much as the 1984 Houston Gamblers.

I just hope Roll tide continues to run the ball as effectively as he did the latter part of 2013 season.

We have to address CB in the draft and this is why...

Say Patrick Robinson finally plays to potential in his contract year - how do you pay for him next season?!?

No later than Walt Aikens in the fourth do I wait to draft a CB...

Pay him the same way you have been paying him. 2m/year

Well, if he plays like a first rounder, he's not staying at 2mil a year, not with the premium on Cornerback in this league...

Keenan Lewis' Cap Number this year is 3.35mil/annum2014 and will be 4.85mil/annum next season...

And Lewis' numbers are a true 'hometown' discount; especially with how well he's manned up...

Pat robinson has no leverage, if he has a good season in 2014 thats maybe 2 okay seasons out of the 5 he would have been with us

Keenan lewis has proven he can be a lock down corner in pittsburgh when he did it for 3 seasons, so far robinson hasn't played up to the standard where he can demand top corner money

True, he'd just be an attractive mid-tier (maybe bottom of the top tier) CB on the free-agent market.

Probably a 3-star, maybe 3-1/2 on the free agent 5 star rankings.

I agree. You can't make the club if your butt is always in the tub.

He actually only played in a "spotlight" role for his last season with the Steelers, and because of that there were some questions about whether he could do it on a consistent basis.

No doubt. Just a few short years ago Lewis was on the bubble and not making the 52 man roster for the Steelers. Good work ethic, desire and mentoring from Ike Taylor has helped Lewis tremendously. I think Champ will do the same thing for the younger guys (Corey White, PRob, Sweeting etc).

If you have Lewis on Instagram you know he is a workaholic.

Not only do I like the way Lewis is working, I'm happy to see sweeting following his workout methods - learn from the best my friend!

Re: Patrick Robinson

There was some great insight on both sides. I didn't realize that White was as effective when he was actually on the field. His stats and high lights look good. Thanks to our members have posted.......still, I'm more excited about our fifth round draft pick last year. White and the rest of our corners are hopefully going to blossom under Bailey.

I just know that we need corners who can play press and play man on man effectively. The success of our secondary depends on our depth at corner. If our guys on the roster can take the next step we don't need to draft a corner early. It all depends on what the FO feels about our players in house.

Do y'all not remember seeing PRob running around in circles trying to find the ball and giving up huge chunks of yards?! Come on man. Its time to fish or cut bait with PRob. Compare his contributions in 3 years to Vaccaro's.1year. Some guys get it some don't. PRob don't. Simple as that.

Re: Patrick Robinson

Sometimes he gets pushed around pretty easily by bigger WRs. I hope he can put it together, play more aggressively, make sure tackles, and make the QB pay if he offers one up. He's got the speed so it's possible he could be the guy to play opposite of Lewis. Thank God we signed Lewis.

That game vs dallas when he looked like a pee wee football player trying to find the ball and then just falling over anyway and giving up two 60+ yard TD's, I could have literally puked watching him that game

In fairness to P Rob, Dez Bryant does that to a lot of corners.
I was at that game and it was a poor defensive game plan led by Spaggs.

I bet many forget that PRob broke up that slant on 3rd down to help salvage a win in overtime against the cows. I'm not ready to give up on the kid.

Having Byrd and Vaccaro in the outfield will make PRob a better corner.

Re: Patrick Robinson

P-Rob is a lot like Corey White in that they have both play well most of the time, but then they'll make a bonehead play that makes you wonder WTF were they thinking about because it wasn't football.

I give both a 1-year credit due to the 2012 Spags disaster.

Yes it will. Barring injury I expect our secondary will be on the high end of top 5 right now as it stands.
