this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Whoever we pick in the first couple of rounds Im sure we'll be happy with. I just hope we get a good center that will be stout for years to come....

Re: Trading up?
I think the three positions I'd like to see the Saints pick up early are ILB, C, and WR so...
If Mosley were to slip down to the late teens, I hope the Saints trade up and grab him. From what I've been reading... Centers won't go till after the first or even second round and starting quality wide receivers can be had all through out the first 4 rounds. |

The Saints have fairly successfully used a plug-and-play philosophy for the past few years with the offensive line. Either Lelito, a re-signed Goodwin or a 2nd-3rd round pick would suffice. While an ILB would be nice for depth, Lofton, Hawthorn and Humber are more than capable.
I feel WR would be the only significant piece that could be added to the puzzle. |

Re: Trading up?
Thoughts on trading up for someone like Shazier if we go LB first?

Re: Trading up?
I'm no kind of draft expert but I don't think we should have to trade up for Shazier.
And I'd rather have an inside linebacker. Lofton and Hawthorne underperformed last year and they're big cap hits next season. I'd like to have someone that can push or replace them. |
