My Outlook on our Draft
Opinions often gain more attention than hard nosed facts do. A lot of people have a lot of opinions about what we did wrong or right this draft class. However I choose to follow suit and stick to the facts of what we are as a team and WHERE we are as a team.
We have an aging First Ballot HOF quarterback with the window easing shut year after year season after season. Apparently our gm must have been paying some kind of attention to these boards because he almost request for request went after the guys most of us wanted. We have a very solid roster with not many holes to fill , therefore We could do something that we have been yearning to do since we've ran into the brick wall of the NFC west ... Swing for the fences Regardless of opinion every pick we chose is boom or bust , given not all are going to be Kenny Stills level contributors In year one but they've found a place where they can grow and that's huge. IMO many busts qre so because not being given the proper tools to fuffill potential. They have found that safe haven in New Orleans These guys are all freaks of nature who at one point or another were considered the cream of the crop , and coming from someone who has been tremendously talented let me tell you sometimes life doesn't pan out for some guys. Sean Payton understood that for that I am grateful If these guys workout we build a team that is in the NFC championship for 10 years to come If not we still get 2 more out of Drew Dont worry be happy fellas ! |
You Can't Say Impossible without first saying Im Possible ...

Re: My Outlook on our Draft
After the season end people be looking forward to the draft and to see our team in my honest opinion chose players that might not make the team is discouraging. After some time to process what happen, I did come to the conclusion that beside Vinnie the rest are healthy to contribute this year and probably make me eat crow

Re: My Outlook on our Draft
I don't know, I get all worked up for the draft year after year, and I come away confused and looking for answers as well as the names of some of these guys so I can figure out who the heck they are. Then I am underwhelmed by some of these guys and think we stunk up the draft, only to see them play better than anyone thought they would, and actually help our team get better. Saying that, I'm considering not watching the draft anymore and just waiting until preseason to see who's on the team and how they play during the year. That way I can have less stress.

Re: My Outlook on our Draft
Seems like even if our draft picks wind up flopping we will have signed at least one or two UDFAs who will pan out to be special. The draft is a gamble anyway, for the most part, and if we get some real first year difference makes great, if not, some of last years draft picks will begin to come into there own going into their second year and contribute.

Re: My Outlook on our Draft
I am one of those people who follow the draft ,read the mocks ,do my own mocks, get all excited the day of the draft, and then the reality sets in. Is always kind of a let down after the draft . The biggest thing is that we have this period between the draft and training camp that I call the doldrums. I just hope that the Tigers get into the CWS . Can't wait until training camp starts.
