20/20 HINDSIGHT: HOW THE SAINTS SHOULD’VE DRAFTED
1st round, 20th pick: Cooks, WR (traded up from 27th for a 3rd round, 27th pick) 2nd round, 26th pick: Nix, NT taken 3rd round, 19th pick 3) had to trade up 7 picks in 1st to get Cooks 4th round, 26th pick: Murray, QB taken 5th round, 23rd pick (obviously, could’ve traded down almost a full round). Given extra pick in a trade down, add Andrew Jackson (LB Western Kentucky taken 6th round, 27th pick 5th round, 27th pick : Jared Abbrederis, WR taken 5th round, 36th pick 5th round, 29th pick: Jordan Tripp LB Montana taken 5th round, 31st pick 6th round, 26th pick: Jeff Janis WR Saginaw Valley State taken 7th round, 21st pick (obviously, could’ve traded down almost a full round. Picking up a 7th with a trade down: Trevor Reilly, LB Utah |
