Well, we made some interesting signings, there were other candidates that I'm disappointed we didn't sign or draft in latter rounds. Some thoughts on the fresh fish...

◾ Rutgers WR Brandon Coleman
Great, great Physical Traits; Average Speed; Knack for the Highlight Catch, Drops Routine Catches; Undisciplined Route Runner; Problems can be fixed with player commitment and coaching...

◾ Sam Houston State RB Timothy Flanders Jr.
Oklahoma St signee, transferred after Redshirt Year to SH St and proceeded to dominate Southland Conference play; built similar to Dalton Hilliard type of RB; shifty, quick, stout though to breakaway speed; will challenge for a roster spot among the RB corps; player to watch...

◾ BYU LB Spencer Hadley
Smallish LB with above avarage agility; poor straight-speed; BYU honorcode violation came to light when rival Utah fan took pictures of Vegas Partying - meh, he could've done worse; has had multiple injuries and at 24 years old, is at best special teams player...

◾ Valdosta State WR Seantavious Jones

Good Size, doesn't play to clocked speed; rounds off routes rather than agile, explosive cuts, decent production; bench receiver at best that likely won't make a commitment to special teams...

◾ Middle Tennessee State QB Logan Kilgore
Would rather have had his teammate OL Josh Walker; scrappy, productive producing quarterback; does have some good training (former Bengal QB Ken Anderson which is as good as the Manning school of quarterbacking; yes, I have his book somewhere); signed with Bus Cook, same agent who brought us the protracted retirement of Brett Favre...

◾ Michigan State DT Micajah Reynolds
Above Average athlete that can seem to translate skills to the football field; has bounced between Offensive Guard to Defensive Tackle and may now be headed back to Guard; Coaching Staff may need to spend some time with signee to find out what makes him tick to get him on track; story to follow through camp; the fact that he played defensive lineman may have interesting affect on him as a Guard...

◾ USC DT George Uko
Similar player to Akiem Hicks; Needs Conditioning/Strength Training; Subpar to Average Lower Body Athleticism - maybe coordination exercises, even dancing may improve...

◾ Jacksonville State S Pierre Warren
Player with physical tools that doesn't seem committed to developing himself as an athlete or individual - admitted upon his announcing early entrance into the NFL draft he was thinking about his NFL career while his collegiate team was in the playoffs; no commitment in the weight room; so what will he do to make things different?!?

◾ Kansas State S Ty Zimmerman

Not knowing we'd sign him, his signing makes the fifth round pick of Sunseri moot; same safety; Zimmerman has had his share of injuries, but when on the field, he's a leader, signal caller, playmaker; if he makes the team, which I would love to see, we wasted a pick on Sunseri...

◾ Colorado DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe

Nice Signing, very similar "tweener" to Junior Galette; long arms, strong bull rush; even has a nifty counter spin move; like Galette, seems only interested in getting after the passer and is vulnerable against the run mostly due to a non-commitment to stopping the run; flaws are correctable based on player/coaching commitment...

◾ GVSU OL Matt Armstrong

Well Hello, Grand Valley State; decorated Center for the Lakers (Grand Valley State) and former teammate of current Saints' Center Candidate Tim Lelito; ideal late round/UDRFA with good size for the position; early injury at the NFL combine restricted him from full participation; that GVSU mine may yield another nugget for the Saints...

◾ Notre Dame DT Mike Golic Jr.
awaiting for yet another reality TV show entitled "Golics"; novelty signing...

◾ Summary

With the exception of Golic, Warren and Jones, have gotten more excited about the Undrafted Rookie Class than our disappointing performance in the draft...
exile and K Major like this.

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I dont know where you goy your facts on Pierre Warren but lets go over them...While he was thinking about turning pro during the play off run, all he did was against Samford...Fumble recovery and numerous big hits...against Mcnesse State...Interception, forced fumble and fumble recovery...Against Eastern Washington...forced fumble and interception....While we are at it, lets look at the whole season...76 tackles; 2nd on team, 5 int....led team 17 passes defended, led team and 3 fumble recoveries, led team and the QB of the defense at JSU. Oh and by the way his commitment as a person...he would have graduated this spring. So I dont know where you get your facts from but they are totally off on this young man.
