Saints sign 3 tryout players today to 90 camp roster

2011 drafts Mr. Irrelevant #254th pick by Texans OLB/DE Cheta Ozeugwu-Rice also HB/db Derrick Strozier-Tulane & and WR/ Steve Hull Illinois all signed today.Think this has roster up to 90 allowed camp roster.Not sure if Graham counts against 90 limit so may be another player signed soon.

Hull can play FS/SS an WR in his one year as Wr had over 1000 yards.Stozier at 5-6/180 almost a size clone of sproles.Cheta has played past few years with Bears.

saints slow to update roster add OC-Mike Golic & OG/OT-Manase Foketi both one year 2013 UFDA players & 2014 ufda NT-Moses Mc Cray out of Akron & the 3 try out players signed today.One thing new on your roster link was OLB/DE-Kasim Edebali a 2014 ufda player out of Boston College.Days ago it was reported i think on a Saint team link he was one of 17 players signed however on the Mini camp roster he was listed as a tryout player.nice the roster had Tulane Devon Walker listed as FS#18

Interesting signing. But at a 4.56 / 40 I doubt he clones Sproles.

"Strozier (5-feet-7, 180 pounds) was actually a standout cornerback for the Green Wave last year. But he spent time at both positions in college, and Saints coach Sean Payton said on Saturday that Strozier chose to try out as a running back.

“To his credit, I think he felt his chances were better with his size at that position than maybe playing defensive back,” Payton said. “I know he was their player of the year on defense and played a big role in their success. Very quickly you can see why. He is smart and he understands what we are doing, and it seems to come pretty quickly to him."

My point was that he doesn't have near the skill at RB that Sproles has and still consistently runs a bit slower. But stranger things have happened I guess.
