Re: Pierre Thomas thought he played his final game with New Orleans Saints before two-year extension
He probably sent a Thank You Love Note to Mark Ingram.

Glad he got that ext. With that being said I see him as more of a 3rd down back. With the other 2 running great at the end of the season I see them carrying the load early and often.

I hope they don't use the screen pass with Pierre as much, everyone has that figured out now.
Ready for the season to get going. |

Then along came Jimmy Graham and Darren Sproles. Now, as you said, teams are cheating up because we don't have as many deep threats and also because we had Nicks, Goodwin and Evans at the top of their game. Then along comes Brandin Cooks and Kenny Stills. :p Teams will find out pretty fast that cheating up isn't gonna work anymore. The perpetual chess match. |

Insurance policy if Robinson and Ingram don't step up.

Re: Pierre Thomas thought he played his final game with New Orleans Saints before two-year extension
I love me some PT and he is one of my favorite Saints, but he survived the offseason turmoil and was restructured at something of a pay cut. I'm glad he's here but at the same time, I still would not be surprised at all, to open my newspaper one morning in August and read that he is gone, traded to some team or other, if it's for a player we need or a pick in next year's draft to reload with. It might still happen. The pay cut actually makes him more attractive to a trading partner, the same way it makes him attractive to stay with the Saints. This talk of "I thought I'd played my final game in a Saints uniform" well in this league you NEVER know for sure about anything.
