this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Its a crying shame. So much talent, such a loser. But its Haz and company\'s own fault. I read last week that there was an unnamed source at UGA that warned scouts of his lazy streak. Maybe Haz missed that ...

But its Haz and company\'s own fault. I read last week that there was an unnamed source at UGA that warned scouts of his lazy streak. Maybe Haz missed that slightly relevant piece of info. I disagree that were screwed for several years. A real GM simply re-load next year. Of course if we stick with Loomis and Haz you may be right. But to cast pissy Doom-n-Gloom over the Sully issue is a bit melodramatic don\'t you think? But if you get your sac all tingly forcasting football armegeddon then by all means procede. Phil Savage (or several other candidates) and a good coach could make this team highly competitve next year. Look how pathetic San Diego was last year and now they\'re the darlings of the league. I think the determining factor in how long we\'re screwed...really depends on what benson and friends do this year...if they lolly gag around..then yeah..long term...but if the owner aggresively pursues a rescue for this squad..we have enough players to win soon..it\'s all up to benson

It seems painfully evident that the organization has given up on a #6 overall that they sacrificed to go up and get.
Anytime an uninjured 1st rounder eats like its Thanksgiving in the team box while everyone else is warming up, then he\'s finished--definately with the organization and probably as a football player. It seems abundantly clear that the kid has no heart, and evidently, no shame. I disagree with the coaching staff\'s anabling this kid to continue to waste his time, talent and the team\'s cap number. His behavior screams, \"Who cares, I\'m getting my check.\" This situtation cannot be allowed to continue. It is nothing new for Haslett and his staff to not be able deal with players. It is nothing new for Haslett and this staff to lose a team. However, it is new to let your draft bust parade around in street clothes as if he has no responsibility for the fix the organization is in. Sullivan must be addressed. By choosing not to deal with Sullivan, this coaching staff has chosen to tell the rest of the team, \"hey it\'s ok to give up. It\'s ok if we bench you because there are no consequences. It\'s ok for a guy drafted to be a franchise player on defense to give so little effort that he can\'t even back up the starters.\" As for Pease the great motivator, coach and disciplinarian, he can eat poo too. I don\'t have THE solution for Sullivan, but I do guarantee that he wouldn\'t be drawing wages to just hang out on game day. Let the starters beat him up on all the drills. Put him on the practice squad just to take a beating. Let him dig ditches and bust rocks. If nothing else make him so miserable that he quits and we get cap relief. If he\'s already going to quit on the field, then make him so miserable that he quits off the field too. A career ending injury in practice doesn\'t look bad right now. Mention him in every press conference. Refer to him not by name, but as \"our draft bust at DT\". It isn\'t right, but nothing really unifies like a scapegoat. Let Sullivan be our scapegoat, emblematic to all the rest of the team of what we are NOT going to be. Let his behavior be an object lesson of what will NOT be tolerated by this organization. Yes, maybe our coaches and scouts should have done their homework on him. Yes, maybe Haslett is stupid about a player he gets enamored with beyond all reason. Yes, we definately gave up WAY too much to go get such a miserable player and human being. But the bottom line is that Jonathan Sullivan is getting paid more money at 24 than most of us will earn in a lifetime to play a friggin game. There are lots of problems, but the biggest problem of all is Sullivan himself. It is wrong for this organization to simply accept this behavior. |

BMG, once again you hit a homerun. That is exactly what they should do with Sullivan. But don\'t stop there. We are losing games anyway, so make him play. Every down. Let him keep sucking it up. If Grant will go after AB, he will go after Sully. Let him continue to let the team down on the field week after week, and let the players handle it however they see fit. This reeks of the way Tampa handled Keyshawn, except Keyshawn can play. People actually cared that he was deactivated. Noone cares about Sully. IT was a head scratcher when the drafted him, and it still is to this day in how they deal with him.

Where are the Sunshiners I wonder? The ones saying, \"I still like Haslett\" and \"It\'s not the coach, it\'s the players.\" Yeah, it\'s the players alright... Jim\'s players. HIS TEAM. LMAO. Buh-bye Jimmy. |

hmmm, I think we should take this on upon ourselves to write him letters chewing his ass out and what it means to be a Saint. If the Coaches can\'t do it... maybe if he gets anti-fan mail???

Oh yeah - that\'ll work. LOL
Maybe if you sent the letters in popeyes boxes, otherwise, I doubt this guy gets up off his couch long enough to get the mail. |

Maybe we can get his mailman to dress up like a Papa John\'s delivery guy so he will attack him soon as he sees him. It would be his best tackle of the season, all for hate-mail. Then they could show it on Monday Night Football\'s sacked.

The thing that really pisses me off about drafting Sullivan is the fact that Marcus Trufant was right there ready to be drafted by a team that really needed a good CB and we drafted that fat bastard. Want to know what the difference is between Johnathan Sullivan and a bucket of s#@t is ? THE BUCKET! This along with letting L.Glover go will seal the fate of Haslett and hopefully Loomis for letting it happen.
