Balanced team. JG CAN NOT BLOCK

In 2011 with Jimmy Graham as the starting TE, the Saints rushed for 2127 yards on 431 carries Avg. 4.9 yards per carry. That's the best year the Saints have had rushing since Payton and Drew have been here.

On top of that excellent rushing attack, Graham contributed 1310 yards and 11 touchdowns in the regular season.

That's balance.

I also disagree that we are better with him on the field. He is no more than a product of Paytons system. If he leaves he could easily be replaced by a traditional TE( one that does what a TE does) and a little different playcalling we wouldn't miss a beat and would be better as a O.

Last season Graham scored more touchdowns than anyone else in the NFL. If that's getting shut out too often, that's a pretty high standard.

He's gotten more yards per season and TDs per season since he became a starter than any receiver Drew has ever played with or that Payton has ever been the head coach for. If it's true that he's just a product of Payton's system, he's the best product Payton's system has produced so far.

Utah, it's not a question of his inherent ability - it's the fact that when he's failed to overcome in big games, i.e. Seattle, the Saints lose...

He really needs to own guys like Sherman and Talib in THEIR house as well as his own...

In the regular season game against Seattle, Graham was the only Saint that scored but it's his fault the Saints lost?

Everybody gets shut down sometime. When you lead the league in touchdowns, you're not getting shut down often?

Jimmy Graham is the new Aaron Brooks at B&G. A good player that many argue is not that great and that the Saints would be better without him.

To be clear, the Saints actually were better without Brooks in 2006 when he was replaced by a future Hall of Famer. But... I'd better stop there before I add too much fuel to this fire.

There is no doubt the man is a beast. The point I raise is don't over pay. We won without him before we can do it again.

Name any player in the NFL that has owned Sherman and Talib in their own houses. If Graham could do that consistently he would be worth $15M per year while receiving for over 2000 yards and 20 TD's.

Graham is clearly one of the elite offensive threats in the entire NFL and some of you actually think the Saints would be better off without him. That is pure lunacy.

There were 52 other players on the active roster when the Saints lost to the Seahawks and you honesty place the blame on Graham?

He will not be overpaid. As one of the top offensive threats in the game he is a bargain at $11 per year, which can easily be structured in a way to open up an additional $3-$4M in cap space for 2014.

Can the Saints win without him? Sure they can, but they are undoubtedly better with him. I want the taste of another Super Bowl win and Graham gives us a far better chance to achieve that goal.

Graham is awesome.

Isn't worth WR money though.

Can't blame him for the Seattle game.

He will either play this year under the franchise tag of a TE or get a new contract or sit out the season. Either way, he is a Saint in 2014.

Only one of those will happen ... he'll get a new contract. There is zero percent chance that will not happen.
