I also disagree that we are better with him on the field. He is no more than a product of Paytons system. If he leaves he could easily be replaced by a traditional TE( one that does what a TE does) and a little different playcalling we wouldn't miss a beat and would be better as a O.

Jimmy Graham voted first-team tight end on 2013 NFL All-Pro squad

If it wasn't for the salary cap, no one would be arguing that the Saints would be better off without Graham.

Everybody gets shut down sometime. When you lead the league in touchdowns, you're not getting shut down often?

I'm just saying that he's struggled, been shutdown against the elite cornerbacks; when we needed him to get crucial first downs, he's been on the short end of coming down on the ball despite having superior size and athleticism...

Look, I've been a Graham fan since I saw him his first training camp (went so homer that I dropped Dallas Clark in Fantasy Keeper for Graham before his rookie campaign); but when you want elite money, you've got to come down with the ball against the elite...

Do I want to get rid of Graham - H**L, Neaux! But his success is as much about the table that is set in New Orleans than anything and I find the argument for more money like a top five WR has many holes in it...

The salary cap isn't really even an issue. It is projected to go up by around $10M each of the next two years.

The top 5 WR's get shut down by Talib and Sherman.

Jimmy should watch some Gonzalez tapes and the way he makes catches. Defender makes the tackle but the ball is already caught. He always extends his arms and doesn't wait for ball to hit him in the chest. I hope he improves in that segment. Then we can talk about unstoppable Jimmy worth the big time money.

People need to stop reading Yardbarker, Bleacher Report, etc. Read the T-P, or the Advocate, or the Lake Charles American Press for all I care. They all have websites and writers who at least have an average understanding of what they're writing about. Thank you in advance.

"Look at our numbers over the last eight years," he said. "We've had a lot of different guys in there. Jimmy's only been here four years. He's only been here half the time. We were putting up some pretty big numbers before he got here, and we've been putting up some big numbers since he's been here.
"Hey, we do what we do. It's nice when you can have guys like Jimmy, and obviously he's a big part of our offense. If he's in there, we're going to try to get him the ball. We're game-planning ways to get him the ball, ways to put him in the best position to succeed. But if he's not, somebody else is going to get those touches. We'll put those guys in position."

To sum it up: "Get yourself back or I'll make some other TE a superstar"

Drew Brees ready to go with or without Jimmy Graham
