Re: No Graham no Sproles

Oh yeah, according to some of us, the absence of Sproles and Graham will only make us better. Others are rather militantly opposed to Jimmy being MIA. Personally, I'm glad Sproles is gone and think Graham not being around is helping Drew get to know the other receivers out there better. I'm more missing Cooks right now.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I am looking forward to seeing cooks get in here. Rather than our tried and true screens to PT we now have a nice option of some WR screens to him. Our offense is going to be killer this year

All of a sudden we have a plethora of receivers.

Welcome to the best but lesser known Saint's forum. And if JG wants to keep being a complete poo head, he can watch us win the SB on his momma's couch.

Nice comment right out of the shoot...

Without these 2, it gives the offense a chance to both gain trust in the route running/timing/etc and give a few of the bubble WR/RB/TE folks an opportunity to show what they can do in these OTAs. Drew often relied too heavily on Graham and Sproles in certain spots and defenses knew it. An NFL defense can shut down 2 "go-to guys" at a time with a coverage scheme; an NFL defense CANNOT shut down 4-5 "go-to guys" at a time with a coverage scheme. Doesn't bother me at all Sproles & Graham aren't here in OTA's...

I do too. I liked Hill in minimal action last year. Not as flashy as Graham, but I don't remember him dropping balls that hit his hands or alligator it.

I also think Cooks is going to be a better version of Sproles.

He dropped a couple fourth down passes, and failed on that reverse, and that pretty much summed up his season. Somehow, when we needed a first down most desperately Hill became the hot target. And failed.

What were they thinking? Who is he? Where did he come from? What has he EVER done? We sign Ben Watson and waste plays on Josh Hill instead. I don't ever want him to play for us again, that's how badly he failed in just a few plays.... Alright, I'm glad I let that out.

The reverse wasn't his fault, and one of the "drops" was a bad pass. It wasn't a drop. He only dropped one pass.

Did you miss the 6 catches he had in the regular season? Did you know the coaches love how he plays special teams? Did you miss his 2 catches in post-season? One for 9 yards against Philly and 1 for 23 yards against Seattle. Did you know he was an UDFA?

Hell he performed better against Seattle than Jimmy Graham did.:p

You wanna give up on a guy that has performed way better than most rookie UDFA's do?

I'd rather see how he progresses then decide if he's worth keeping or dumping.

A tight end reverse? Really? If somebody's going to start in on anyone involved in a failed reverse with the Saints then Hill's going to have to get in a very long line. I hate when Sean calls a reverse.
