The team I don't want to play in the sb
The pats. Yeah I thought we could beat them but their defense is being made to be better than we thought. Revis and Browner as CBs, with Wilfork and their other pass rushers. Imo the pats have pulled off a spurs-like strategy. spurs combatted their aging superstars with Kawi Leonard and Danny Green constantly throughout the season benching their superstars to preserve their health. This year the pats decided to load up on defense and will attempt to pull off the most hated sb win yet(if it happens). I always fely pats lost late because of their character and now after Seattle's sb win character really does not matter anymore. Its all about being nasty and trash talking. Good thing we got Byrd, and we will need SJB to be NFL caliber at this point as well as our receivers being healthy. We have Cooks and Graham but Morgan we still are gonna need for this one or Coleman to turn out to be as good as a top 40 receiver. The running game concerns me as does our kicking game, where the pats are better in both phases. If this sb happens its going to be a dog fight. Though I believe the colts will be in the sb because Luck is just too liked by the NFL fans to lose to the pats if they go to his place and the colts have a schedule capable of HFA. And Brees against Luck will make for another ratings blockbuster.

Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
I think until the season starts and games are actually played, everything is conjecture. We all know that a lot teams look good on paper, think Cowboys, but just can't put it together on the field. Rememember when we played the Patriots in '09 and there was no way they could lose? Well, they did and in a pretty embarrassing way. Who knows how things play out this year. I believe that the Saints are capable of beating anybody anywhere. Does that always happen? Nope! But, as Drew said this week, why not us in the Super Bowl this year? And once we're there, why not us as winners?

Patriots and no one else is even close.
We've already seen time and time again how they get all the calls. We'd get screwed the entire game. |
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
That team for me is the Patriots. They are built just like we are from top to bottom.

Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
quick look at the recoeds
0-0 it is anyone's season. nothing too too red hot please. nothing harder than beating a team with the ball bouncing their way. |
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
Our superbowl year we destroyed the Pats in the regular season. I bet we could to it in the big game too.
|
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
They might be really tough but Belichick and Tom Brady will be remembered as two of the best at what they do.
It would be pretty cool to beat them. (course beating anyone in the SB would be pretty cool) |
The team I don't want to play in the sb
Broncos. We beat Manning once. I don't want to push our luck. Eh, what am I thinking? We will beat anyone. So whatever.

If we would be fortunate enough to make it there it doesn't matter who.

Aaron Hernandez is behind bars. You don't have to be scared of them anymore.

Watch out for the Jets this year, seriously! Vick is not a great QB, but he is a ton better than what they had last year and they went 8-8. 8-8 last year could be 11-5 or 12-4 because vick is that much better |
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
ARE YOU NUTS... I WANT TO PLAY ANYBODY IN THE SUPERBOWL. NO FEAR!
I would love to play the Patriots if they deserve it. Never forget... In order to be the best, you have to beat the best. http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/q...id/bowling.gif Line the up... knock them all down. :itsgood: |
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
Like the NBA get out of the Western Conference where the competition is
NFC will be tested whereas the AFC doesnt have that level of competition Get home field advantage and the refs will have to call the pi mauling Love to knock off the Patriots. ( probably highest chance of beating an nfc team (yes its june) |
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
Bring...All...Challengers...
Only regret is that I would have especially have loved to have won the whole thing WITH that schedule and Payton back after the BountyBeatdown this past season... Beating Seattle, New England, and New York in their houses and STMFs would have been epic... |
Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
How great would it be to have Brees & company beat Brady in the SB. That would have him 2 & 0 vs the "2 best QBs" in the league/history in that game.

I'm not scared of any team or anything except for large mosquitoes. And there are no NFL teams named the "Mosquitoes" yet.

I would prefer to play the patriots. It would give Drew that boost in "Best of all time" talk that he already deserves because he beat Manning and Brady in the big game.

Re: The team I don't want to play in the sb
Two weeks of planning is a lot for Sean Payton. That's where "Ambush" actually came from, on film, watching the Colts cheat backwards on kickoffs in the film room. Also the playcalling on the third quarter TD drive and especially the decision to go for the two point conversion, was something specific that Payton had seen in the Colts, that he liked. It's MUCH more difficult to get through the NFC side of the playoffs -- I like the Saints and Sean Payton's chances against virtually anyone in the AFC, with two weeks' of prep time going into the game. Look at how good Payton's record is after the bye, as well. Just the act of GETTING THERE to the big game, magnifies their chances of winning it, based on the coaching and how the team performs in similar situations.

The eagles won 8 games actually in 2011. But Nnamdi never fit the eagles at all. Atlanta was no dream team, their offense was to be "feared" but certainly not their run defense or middle defense. |
