With Drew Brees under center, that should hardly be a surprise. The Saints are usually competitive, which allows them to run in the second half, but Payton’s reliance on Brees has led to plenty of seasons among the league leaders in pass attempts.

If I was calling plays I think that I would call Drews # a lot too.. We need to get better at running the ball. At the end of games we have to burn the clock and protect a lead. Not being able to do so costs you in tough close games.. In the playoffs it is almost mandatory for the win.I am old school and love pounding the rock . It is how you impose your will on a opponent.
