this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The Saints get their bye week in Week 6, and barely a 1/4 of the season is over. I personally would rather the break be a little later in the season....

Could the Saints realtively early bye week be a problem?

It's our turn. Besides, eight other teams have earlier bye weeks. No biggie. In fact, it can really help if they choose to PUP anyone.

One Good thing about it there is that if the season were to start off "out-of-sync", it's not to late in the season to have that bye week to right wrongs and get on track...
After the Packers at Home and the Panthers Road Game to break up that 4-day week would have been ideal, but it is what it is... |

I don't think its in our favor that is for sure. We start a brutal stretch right after and a later bye would help us get healed and rested for the end of season/playoffs.

most of the road games are early
the bye isn't as strategic but champions win regardless of their schedule The Falcons are complaining because they have us at home in the opener and have to waste a home game in London |

It all depends on when we have injuries and how many?
If a few guys get hurt week 5, week 6 is perfect. |
