Maybe some team would be willing to give up a 1st and 3rd next year and a 2nd Rounder the year after. Then the Saints should sign Jermichael Finley to a deal.

I agree completely. He is a great pass catching TE but this is unwanted stress. I say trade him to Cleveland for Cameron and a rd 1 next year.

Please, refrain from these emotional threads. None of us really know what's happening. It's the Brees scenario all over again, so let's try our best here.

This is nothing like the Drew Brees ordeal. JG is a great pass catching TE but he is no Drew Brees.

Take a drink and go to bed. It will all be better tomorrow. Stop freaking out over nothing. Geeze.

Why would Cleveland trade Cameron and a 1st round pick for Graham?

Because they have the cap room and need a star.

Sure, they'll backload it like they always do, and people will say how genius that is. Until a couple years go by and we have to release a bunch of players, and then everyone will will say "why did we let so and so get away?".

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and make some sacrifices, but I'm becoming less impressed with the Saints' negotiating tactics as it seems almost all they do anymore is backload contracts. Stop overpaying people and you won't have to constantly push back all this money to delay the inevitable.

They're "backloading" contracts to get the best talent on the field while we have Drew under center. Sooner rather than later, he'll be retiring and then it would seem that our window maybe closed...

Not too mention that with the salary cap going up, in later years we possibly could afford to do this now and not have to restructure as much down the road
