Maybe some team would be willing to give up a 1st and 3rd next year and a 2nd Rounder the year after. Then the Saints should sign Jermichael Finley to a deal.
I agree completely. He is a great pass catching TE but this is unwanted stress. I say trade him to Cleveland for Cameron and a rd 1 next year.

Re: Jimmy Graham......

Why would Cleveland trade Cameron and a 1st round pick for Graham?

Because they have the cap room and need a star.

Re: Jimmy Graham......

Sure, they'll backload it like they always do, and people will say how genius that is. Until a couple years go by and we have to release a bunch of players, and then everyone will will say "why did we let so and so get away?".

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and make some sacrifices, but I'm becoming less impressed with the Saints' negotiating tactics as it seems almost all they do anymore is backload contracts. Stop overpaying people and you won't have to constantly push back all this money to delay the inevitable.

They're "backloading" contracts to get the best talent on the field while we have Drew under center. Sooner rather than later, he'll be retiring and then it would seem that our window maybe closed...

Not too mention that with the salary cap going up, in later years we possibly could afford to do this now and not have to restructure as much down the road

You are obviously hung up on the money for some reason. Leave that to the people that know what they are doing. If you are losing confidence in the Saints front office then please move on and become a Falcons fan. Either stop constantly *****ing about it or just move on.

You need to stop following me around. You are entirely too concerned with me. I don't give a damn what you think. You are one of the most antagonistic people on this site, but you're too hung up on your self worth to realize it. So you just try to pick a fight over everything I say. You know, I've been in some disagreements on here plenty of times. I'm used to that. But you can't get over the fact that I don't see it your way.

Because I have a problem with something the Saints are doing that makes me less of a fan? Does being a fan mean that I'm supposed to like everything they do? I don't like everything that certain people in my family do, but I sure as hell still love them. But this isn't even family. It's a sport, a team, an organization that hasn't personally done anything for me. So I pull like crazy for them, and yell during games and all that foolishness that we as fans get caught up in. But sometimes I don't agree with what they're doing. It isn't very often, but it happens. You say they know more than me, and I'm sure they know more than both of us. That doesn't make them immune to mistakes. We stumbled around for some time between Payton's first year here and the superbowl season. We gave a huge contract to Jason David, an enormous contract for an average, at best, Will Smith, a pretty sizable contract to a terrible Roman Harper. It took a lot of work and a little luck (Darren Sharper) to get that defense turned around enough to make a run. And then we went right back into sucking on defense. It had a lot to do with the money tied into aging, overrated players who were making way too much money. Now we're turning it back around, but I want to be able to keep this team together.

And let's not forget that Loomis was here long before Payton. And before Payton got here, we were atrocious. So you can get right off of that high horse you're standing on and quit telling me that these guys know everything. I'm not up here declaring myself the smartest person in the universe. I'm giving an honest opinion, which is not in any way the same thing as denouncing my fandom. You are not going to tell me who I should be a fan of. I will pull for whom, and say whatever I damn well please. You can take your self righteous, egotistical comments elsewhere.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
