Oh I knew it was wrong. Every other outlet is reporting the 4 year deal. And why would the team even agree to a 2 year deal? More sense for all parties to do longer term.

If the Saints choose to cut him after two years that is what it would be. The deal contained $20 million guaranteed, including a $12 million signing bonus and an $8 million roster bonus that becomes effective following the 2014 season. That means the following:

Year one: $12 million signing bonus prorated over the 4 year term of the deal ($3M per year) plus a base salary of $1M. Cap hit $4M and total paid $13M

Year two: $8M roster bonus and the remaining $9M of prorated signing bonus due if Graham is not retained for year three. Cap hit $17M

If the Saints decide after year two to move on then it is a 2 year deal worth at least $21M ($4M year one + $17M year two).
