Brooks would have probably been the starting QB by 2002......2003 at the latest. Then you have to wonder, if that had happened......would we have gotten Brees? Because how can you be sure that the Saints would have been fully certain Brooks wasn't the answer by 06, if he didn't start until 02 or 03, as opposed to 00 ? For those of you who like having Brees around, maybe you should be glad Brooks played as long as he did, instead of of tossing around this ridiculous "what if?" about Blake that always seems to come up every time people somehow forget just how dangerous Brooks was as a QB early in his career.
