This is Brees' 14th training camp. I'm pretty sure he'd sit out if he stubbed his toe because its just not really necessary for him to play.

Farve stopped going to training camp all together in the latter part of his career. Granted Brees would never do that. He is too much of a compeditor.

I don't think Drew is the kind of athlete that sits out unless he's really hurting somewhere so it's probably bothering him. I think he'll be ok but I'm still a little concerned.

I agree. He is known for his competitive nature and is pretty open about that fact.

Needs to quit jacking around with the young bucks in those QB challenges...

Fear not Chicken Little's:

Drew Brees is injured. But fear not, the injury is considered minor and is to his non-throwing arm.

Brees did not take part in Saturday’s scrimmage at The Greenbrier with a strained left oblique suffered during Friday’s practice. Coach Sean Payton said that he was held out as a precaution.

“We didn’t want to put him out the day after,” Payton said. “It’s going to require just a little bit of rest. We’ll see how it is coming back Monday.”

Out again today. I think we might have an Olin Kreutz situation on our hands.
