I wouldn't say that I'm "worried" about the line, as a whole. I do have reasonable doubt at the Center position, though. Waiting to see what Lelito and Goodwin are gonna do. I already know what Goodwin HAS been capable of, but I'm curious as to what he's got left in the tank. I could honestly not care any less about practice reports, at this point.
We've had a revolving door at center for a few years now and every single year they say the center battle is going great. We signed a washed up Olin Kreutz and the word was that he was rejuvenated, but when the games came around he was just ok, and then quit. We drafted Tennant, who was talked up to be the next great Center in the league, and we have heard nothing from him since. I don't know if he's even playing football anymore. Then DLP steps in and does ok given the circumstances, but his play was way over-hyped and this past year he got exposed quite a bit. And that brings us to today, where we are hearing the same thing. I'm hopeful but very pessimistic about that position. |

Re: Saints' Galette: Armstead is a "beast"
Mitch, never worried about Armstead; when Payton said he was worried about Charlie Brown - then I was...
Further, even if Goodwin wasn't signed, Payton seemed confident in Tim Lelito getting it done at Center... Now Grubbs, he and his over the top salary/I got mines attitude worries me... And Love Zach Strief, but we could use more athleticism at right tackle for the screens (see Seattle, SF, Rams games) and bubble routes (i.e. Cooks, Stills)... But the depth (imagine that where our team is that we're talking depth), we'll have to see how far Harris, Rooks during pre-season... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I saw a video of SJB running a back and forth drill, he looked awkward changing directions, very giraffe like. I think quick WR's (like a Lance Moore) are gonna give him problems. Obviously the pre-season games will tell us more. |
