this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I agree that the fact we are looking is a bit unsettling. At least it was for someone worthwhile, which probably means he was going to be more than a camp body...

I don't think it says anything about our starters, we've always done this at nearly every position. We probably had a high grade on him and want to see if he can be developed down the line. I wouldn't read anything into other than he may be competing for depth.
