Haz with new assts?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Sorry if someone asked this question before and I didn't catch the post... I can't help but notice that the rumors of Haz staying on seem to be getting thicker. My question is what would everyone think of him staying ...

I can't help but notice that the rumors of Haz staying on seem to be getting thicker. My question is what would everyone think of him staying but getting the OC and DC and putting quality proven coordinators in those places?

I dunno, maybe Ray Rhoads as DC and Jim Fossel OC/asst. head coach?(just an example)

I guess my question is: Do ya'll think think we could come up with a winning team under these circumstances or does Haz HAVE to go no matter what?

I\'d be interested in seeing what Fassell could do with Brooks, but......NO!

No no no no no no no no no no no no. Any scenario with Haz not gone is a losing one. Nice guys finish last, and he has been too nice with this team. We need a new image and new leadership. Changing coordinators is not enough.

I agree. I think one day Jim will have some success with another team, but he\'s already lost the confidence and loyalty of this team. They know they\'re playing for a lame duck HC, as they keep showing every Sunday by getting their a$$ kicked.

most I would do personally..is let jim be a position coach...he was a pro bowl linebacker..let him focus what he knows as a player..on this group of youngins..

but..I doubt he would go for it

The only way that Hazlett would have a remote chance of being a success at HC of this team is to make 4 changes in the organization:

1. Rid us of LoomBoom and get Scott Pioli
2. Put Baby Mule on the bus.
3. Bring in Mike Nolan or Wannestat as DC
4. Bring in Fassell or Weis in as OC.

Then make some position coaching changes, namely Moss & Sheppard. Keep Al Everest and John Pease. Hire Singletary as LB Coach. That might work

We need an entire regime change. I am so sick of Haslett. He has not made a decision which makes sense in quite some time.
In regards to his Monday press conference:
No, he doesn\'t want to play any of our younger players because he thinks that would be putting forth the message to his team that he was giving up on the season. Whatever! It would be giving the message that the present starters are not doing an adequate job, and he\'s willing to bench those who are guilty of it. He also says he hasn\'t thought of any coaching changes. This is just completely ridiculous ways to coach a team. If things aren\'t working you MUST MAKE CHANGES!
Jim Haslett you have no answers for our floundering team, you don\'t know what we need to do to win. You\'ve made us one of the least competitive Saints teams in our long history of crappiness. We play with no zest or desire, and you look like a dog that\'s been beat too much along with our ruined heartless team on the sidelines each week.
I\'ve never been a proponent of midseason coaching changes, but this is horrible. We started off poorly and we\'ve gotten worse. We aren\'t even competitve in this league anymore. I can\'t fathom our team going up against teams like the Colts, Steelers or Eagles.
Jim, You should formally resign, because we can all see you\'ve already quit.
