Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Here we go ya'll. I'm stoked for tomorrow night. What particular players, positions, and units are you going to focus on tom night.
Here are just a few examples for me: 1. Defense for sure. I'm intrigued about our secondary, SJB, My Cousin Vinnie at Safety & Ball from Canada, the battle for the 2nd corner position & pressure created on the D-Line. 2. Of course Brandin Cooks, this guy will be a monster but we cannot let the rabbit out of the hat just yet. I want my cake and eat it too, enough Cooks to see what he can do, but don't over do it. 3. Special teams, all the way around, I think we can all can agree on this. The cool thing is this is where guys can make a name and roster spot for themselves. 4. The O-Line in protection and creating running lanes for our backs. Basically time in the pocket and our talent that we have in the backfield to pound the rock. What cha got WHODATS?? |
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Warren. i really want to see what this kid can do as an UDFA. add colman to that UDFA list.
all of our mid round picks bring on the rookies baby lets see what we got. |
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Every season a no name player comes out of nowhere and becomes a fan favorite. I'm looking forward to rooting for that guy, whoever he is, this year.

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Khairi Fortt
Ronald Powell Kevin Reddick I will be keeping a close eye on these 3. Among others. |
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Armstead and Lelito - These are the two guys that we really need to be successful to have a good o-line. If they hold up well against the Rams I think that will be a really good sign.
Griffin - It will be good to see what this kid's got going up against an elite pass rush team. I want to see poise and accuracy. If he can keep his wits about him against this team, I think he wins the #2 QB spot. Cooks and Toon - I have no doubts about Cooks at this point, I just want to see him doing it for real. Toon I think is very important, if he can come on as a solid contributor we can afford to rest Colston more often during the season and hopefully fresh for the playoffs. Butler - Think we know about the other outside linebackers, can Butler provide pass rush while at the same time being good against the run like Haralson. Robinson/White - IMO this is the battle for #2 corner. I like both guys a lot, but if Robinson is healthy and on his game I think he gives us a lot more options for mixing up/disguising coverages and going man-to-man all the way across the field. Dimke - Graham is the easy choice here but if Dimke can be consistent and solid, he should win the job because he's got a much bigger leg. Special teams as a whole - The punt/kick teams look awful slow on paper and we don't have a Roby/McAfee leader type who makes the ST's instantly better on his own. I think Humber and Cadet are good candidates to emerge here but somebody needs to step in because we have a real void in this area, IMO. |
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
The entire team plays great with no major injuries.

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
A thousand bucks to the player who runs out of bounds and "accidentally" knocks out Gregg Williams...

EVERYONE

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Basically I watch for standouts among the new guys. But I'm interested most in Warren, Ball, Sunseri, White, both Robinsons, all of our rookies, Lelito, Toon, Coleman, Hill, Hamm and Jacobs at TE.
Basically I'm not all that interested in all of the known and proven players. |
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Rob Ryan's hair :bng:
Anxious to see what Griffin, Kilgore and McCown bring to the field! |

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Coleman, Cooks, Warren, Griffin (decision making, does he fold under pressure...)

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
I'm looking at these 4 units in order of importance
O-line: I want to see some solid physical play and I'd like to get the since of how deep we are on that unit Linebackers: I want to see if we've increased our speed and cover ability as that was sorely lacking last year (one of the main reasons we had 3 safeties on the field last year) Receivers: I think this is a talented group but I really need to see what the guys after colston, stills and cooks look like and what they do well. Secondary: I want to see our corners in action mostly. I really haven't heard much about Baptiste through training camp so I need to see him out there to figure out what we have. |

Tyrunn Walker. He brought it Friday night. Not sure about the backfield but as long as the secondary can bring it -- our D is gonna kill.

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
I hope Byrd sees some action tonight. Any updates that yall know of?
|
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
I don't think he will play. He didn't have one full practice so far (after surgery). No need to rush him back. They want him at 100% for reg. season.

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
step two down the yellow brick road for rookies and bench warmers. bring on the depth chart.
this is pretty much the last shoot for most of them. game three the is warm up for starters and back ups.. fourth game is all about the bubble, best of luck to the long shots. it's your last shot |
Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
My two favorite players on the bubble tonight were Joe Morgan and Vinny Sunseri. Morgan looked fantastic, exactly how i remember him. If he can stay healthy in my opinion he is like a Kenny Stills on steroids. I can barely contain my euphoria. His highlight film from 2012 is amazing. Long balls, RAC plays, catching in traffic across the middle, displaying soft hands. And Sunseri looks like a white Vaccarro. We really are loaded at safety. Brandon Coleman looked way better. ive been dogging him relentlessly but he resembles Colston so closely that you have to give him a shot. Whos been wearing Ingrams jersey? Ive never seen him break someones ankles like that. Hes not a step quicker, he looked Reggie Bush quick. When we drafted him, I thought he could easily be a pro-bowl back. Through 2 preseason games, he looks like the stud we all thought he was. i dont believe my eyes yet, but maybe just maybe Im not dreaming.
