Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Here we go ya'll. I'm stoked for tomorrow night. What particular players, positions, and units are you going to focus on tom night.
Here are just a few examples for me: 1. Defense for sure. I'm intrigued about our secondary, SJB, My Cousin Vinnie at Safety & Ball from Canada, the battle for the 2nd corner position & pressure created on the D-Line. 2. Of course Brandin Cooks, this guy will be a monster but we cannot let the rabbit out of the hat just yet. I want my cake and eat it too, enough Cooks to see what he can do, but don't over do it. 3. Special teams, all the way around, I think we can all can agree on this. The cool thing is this is where guys can make a name and roster spot for themselves. 4. The O-Line in protection and creating running lanes for our backs. Basically time in the pocket and our talent that we have in the backfield to pound the rock. What cha got WHODATS?? |

Every season a no name player comes out of nowhere and becomes a fan favorite. I'm looking forward to rooting for that guy, whoever he is, this year.

Re: Where yat!! What & who are you looking at Fri Night?
Armstead and Lelito - These are the two guys that we really need to be successful to have a good o-line. If they hold up well against the Rams I think that will be a really good sign.
Griffin - It will be good to see what this kid's got going up against an elite pass rush team. I want to see poise and accuracy. If he can keep his wits about him against this team, I think he wins the #2 QB spot. Cooks and Toon - I have no doubts about Cooks at this point, I just want to see him doing it for real. Toon I think is very important, if he can come on as a solid contributor we can afford to rest Colston more often during the season and hopefully fresh for the playoffs. Butler - Think we know about the other outside linebackers, can Butler provide pass rush while at the same time being good against the run like Haralson. Robinson/White - IMO this is the battle for #2 corner. I like both guys a lot, but if Robinson is healthy and on his game I think he gives us a lot more options for mixing up/disguising coverages and going man-to-man all the way across the field. Dimke - Graham is the easy choice here but if Dimke can be consistent and solid, he should win the job because he's got a much bigger leg. Special teams as a whole - The punt/kick teams look awful slow on paper and we don't have a Roby/McAfee leader type who makes the ST's instantly better on his own. I think Humber and Cadet are good candidates to emerge here but somebody needs to step in because we have a real void in this area, IMO. |

A thousand bucks to the player who runs out of bounds and "accidentally" knocks out Gregg Williams...
