this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Cie Grant- supposedly blazing speed, definitely injury prone. Will this guy ever make a difference?? At least he's had a couple of seasons under the playbook mentally. I know he's injured, but he should have learned the scheme by now. ...

Will this guy ever make a difference?? At least he's had a couple of seasons under the playbook mentally. I know he's injured, but he should have learned the scheme by now. Oh wait, that's true, next year, new coaches, new scheme. What do you guys think? |

Will Cie ever make an impact??
If Cie can ever get healthy it\' possible. But, players like that usually don\'t come back and have a big impact. It appears he is just injury prone and we\'ll be left to wonder \"what could have been.\"

Will Cie ever make an impact??
I think he could be productive if he dropped to 225 and played WLB, or dropped to 215 and played SS.
His knee injury I heard is structurally stable, but he will always feel pain and have frequently swelling. I personally think dropping 20 lbs may be exactly what it takes to allow that knee to last a ful 16 games. He was a solid playmaker at 3 positions in college so the talent is definitely there. Hopefully worse case is he becomes a solid back-up at WLB or a platoon guy. |

Will Cie ever make an impact??
The whole ordeal with Cie makes me think he\'s the Cam Cleeland of linebackers.
The best thing for him would probably be special teams or some sort of rotation player at safety, it all really depends on the knee. I for sure wouldn\'t count on him to start 16 games. |

Will Cie ever make an impact??
ok..this kid is supposed to be super fast..amd posess decent coverage skills...right?
so..maybe give him a shot at making safety?...im not sure if he\'s tall enough though..and it would likely be a long drawn out training regime... nevermind... |

Will Cie ever make an impact??
My inside sources told me that his knees are shot and unfortunately so is his career, and barring a miracle recovery next season, he wont be re-signed. Too bad because he is a monster.

I think it was dumb putting him in the middle in the first place. I agree with Danno, in that the loss of weight could hopefully help his knee, and put him at WLB or safety.
