I really think we will keep beaucoup safeties on the squad this year, especially since we are not very deep at CB. I can see a lot of 3 safety looks this year, just like last year, and use the 3rd safety in a nickel type of situation or in the box on blitzing downs.

If Byrd was not ready for contact, he would not play at all. I truly think he is ready and will flourish in our system. No matter how good he is, he needs to get acclimated to game speed, contact, yada yada.
