I dont get the hate for Carmichael ... when he stepped in he was great. Payton talked about turning play calling over last season as well.

In 2012, without Payton, Carmichael's offense was ranked #2 in yards and #3 in points.
It was Spag's defense that failed. Carmichael did great. |

He did a fine job. I wouldn't mind seeing what happens. Its not like Payton wouldn't step in if he needed to. It was taken out of context though.

Is it such a slow news day that NFL.com must create fabricated stories to get clicks? I read the remarks before the article was written and it didn't even cross my mind that Payton was hinting at relinquishing play calling duties. Not to say he won't but that article takes a huge leap. True journalism is dead in America.
