A couple points I noticed from the game
The colts defensive line has been playing very well so far in the preseason, while we didn't run the ball with great efficiency, we were effective enough to keep the defense honest
Ingram, khiry and PT all took the yards that were there and didn't dance around Very impressed with the pass protection, both by the offensive line and all our RB's Ingram made a couple very nice blocks, first on the long pass to Jimmy Graham and second on the Brees to colston TD, drew needed that time and I was impressed with all our running backs Austin Johnson has been solid for weeks now, loved watching him run over the colts linebacker for the TD, in my opinion he is the unanimous choice to be the starter on gameday Jairus Byrd and Vaccaro are going to make a nice tandem, its great to have two safeties that can make a play on the ball but Byrd really suprised me with his open field tackling His closing speed when Hilton caught a short pass really jumped out and he made the sure tackle Akiem hicks is a monster, probably needs to settle down a little but I can't fault a guy for being aggressive - plus Cam Jordan should have made that sack, he got thrown down by Andrew luck, he really should have done better Post anything you noticed below! |

Re: A couple points I noticed from the game
Payton has to get the penalties down right now. Most of it is unnecessary. There were several last night that kept drives going when it should have been long over with.

Re: A couple points I noticed from the game
I still think there wouldn't have been as many flags if this was a regular season game. The blatant ones yes, but it has been overboard this pre season. That being said the team does need to stay disciplined.
About the only thing negative I can say is that our LB play is suspect and I think our run D could stand to improve. We have to be able to stop Backs like Lynch once we get to the playoffs. |

Re: A couple points I noticed from the game
The guys are playing well to the ball
Bush and vacarro were punishing Laying the lick to leave a runner 1/2 yard short The linebackers are being outplayed and we need to tighten up the run defense Pierre thomas is a beast Love that Payton does challenge the awesome lewis interception because he wants to give his defense more reps Luck looked lost against us Not easy to do Cant wait for Matty Ice's turn And he goes down a lot easier |
