Help! New-New Orleaner
I have been a Saints fan since I was a little girl. I live in the Seattle area and my everyday life is polluted with Seahawk. I've been to every home game the Seahawks have hosted the Saints (this last December I met DREW).
Anyways, for my graduation present this year my father and I are going to New Orleans for the first time ever and catching the Bucs game on October 2nd. We need help in finding some hospitable tail-gating and some good grub around the town!! Who Dat |

Welcome aboard Saintsgal.
there is one sure fire thing that has never changed and has always gotten rave reviews from everyone i have sent there for Sunday brunch. Court of Two Sisters Sunday brunch is still the best show in town. Get your reservations now It is the best way to show up to the stadium. stuffed to the gills with all the local favs as well as a nice little buzz and a jazz beat in your step. yall will be rolling of your lips like local. It aint cheap but it wont wipe out your wallet either. it will be something you two will talk about for years to come. well worth it. Just walk around the stadium and you will soon find out why saints fans are probably the friendliest group of fans in the NFL. you will be drinking and eating taking pictures with in minutes. we do love you tourist. |

Re: Help! New-New Orleaner
Welcome, Saintsgal. Later I will share a few ideas with you. The Bucs game is a Noon game so I will suggest an after game meal location. We quite often walk straight up Poydras from the Dome, toward the river, until we get to Mother's. Mother's is a New Orleans landmark. The food is varied and excellent. Anything from southern soul food to seafood and poboys. It will be filled with other fans from the game.
I'll share some other options later. How long are you in town and when will you be arriving and leaving? Another must visit for a Saints fan is the Black and Gold Sports Shop on Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie. |

Off topic but important.
I am here in Cheeseland, I understand your pain. You found B&G! On lonely game day when your trapped in bird droppings, come here, the game day chat will pull you in and embrace your hardship. Now, where are you staying? And advice or lesson learned on first trip to NOLA, don't rent a car. Take a taxi or shuttle to hotel. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
