Where are our weak spots?
After following training camp and the pre season games I am very excited for the regular season. We have amazing depth at several positions and on paper look like the real deal. I was impressed with our offensive line as well, especially since Grubbs and Evans were out. I do have two areas of concern.
One is our run defense. I don't know if it is lack of talent at LB or what, but it seems to be a weakness. I don't think people will want to throw much against us but if we get a hard nosed running team we may be in trouble. We will have to play Seattle eventually and Lynch already has good history with us. Another area I see as a potential weakness is WR. Yes I said WR. Cooks looks to be ROY material and Colton seems to be in true form, its not our WR corps talent I worry about its their health. At some point in the season Graham will get hurt. It happens every year. He does seem to play through it, but I can see him out a couple games. Morgan is another one that is always hurt and is coming off a major knee injury. Stills is hurt now, how bad we don't know. Colston has his injury problems as well. I can see all of these guys missing a game or two this season. Hopefully not all at once. It does take talent and a bit of luck to win a Super Bowl. I have no doubt we are capable, I just hope the ball bounces our way. |

Re: Where are our weak spots?
Complacency and overconfidence is really our only true weakness. We have areas that are merely average (LB) but no real weakness unit wise

ILB is probably our weakest spot.

Re: Where are our weak spots?
Oline depth is a worry for me. If the starters stay healthy, we're in good shape but if a couple get dinged up, we could be in trouble.

Re: Where are our weak spots?
Run defense. FIRST. By a long shot.
We were 19th in the NFL by giving up 112 rushing yards per game in 2013, but we were 28th in giving up 4.6 yards per carry. We gave up 4.6 yards per carry to place 28th in the NFL in 2013. 4.6 per carry is awful. A big bowl of awful. |
