It IS a cool statue and it was nice to see Mr. Benson moved to the point of tears. Just from the build-up though, you thought it was going to be something a lot more important.

I thought it was going to be a "DirecTV customers WILL be able to watch the game on Sunday without purchasing an antenna and then switching inputs to watch other NFL Ticket games during commercials and halftime of the Saints game". Alas, it was just a statue.

My my, how far we have come. From a guy who didn't want to show his face, or his team, in Louisiana after Katrina, to a guy with a statue of himself outside the stadium.

Amazing what winning a Superbowl does for a guy's reputation.

Should be an umbrella not a football in his hand. That's how people will always remember him. I hope Buddy D gets one at some point. Saints talk radio is just not the same.
