Court Battle Ruling
A seven year old San Francisco boy was at the center of a courtroom drama this morning when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents so the judge awarded custody to his aunt. The boy confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he refused to live there. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone. The judge then decided to allow the boy to choose who should have custody of him. Custody was granted to the New Orleans Saints this morning as the boy firmly believes that they are not capable of beating anyone.... |

This is so NOT funny from almost every angle. First -- its pretty stupid timing since the Saints are coming off their best win of the year -- SO 1) Inappropriate timing -- More importantly is the whole abuse angle. With all of the children (most recently national news from the Orlando area) being abused on a regular basis any type of joke using child abuse is inappropriate. I thought we had an age limit on this board -- but apparently not

J-O-K-E.
However, if it offends anyone, please remove it Halo. I am a father of a 9yr old girl, and don\'t take REAL child abuse lightly either. |

Maybe I am overreacting but every Christmas our company volunteers at a shelter for abused women and children. We go get their Santa lists and then go out and buy presents for all. We then sponsor a christmas party (on Christmas day) with food, trimmings, a visit from santa presents, the works. You would never even joke about abuse if you spent christmas days with children who would run and hide if they spilled their milk, broke something etc. And those are the easy things to experience. So you are right -- I know its a joke but there are 2 types of people in this world who I despise more than anything else in life -- those who abuse children and those who abuse animals. Sorry I reacted so strongly

Alright, it\'s funny but it really fits in the Everything Else sectinon, but it\'s funny. Sorry if anyone takes offense to this (esp. you 4saintspirit) but by far this is the most light hearted Saints board and we pride ourselves on that... until someone from another team comes here to talk trash, then people start to draw weapons. Dberce1 is always poking fun. I know we fans can make fun of the Saints but no one else can. It\'s kinda like the Chris Rock show for Saints fans.

I don\'t mind making fun of the Saints -- they really deserve it - and if it wasn\'t for me just coming back from the shelter after delivering the tree and presents probably would not have even thought twice about it -- but don\'t worry -- I am a Saints fan -- not only do I have thick skin I get over things pretty quickly

I agree w/ you about the abuse thing. People who abuse kids OR animals should be hung up by their balls and dealt with by the parents, martial law style. Sorry for the joke, I really didn\'t even think about it, just copied it off of an email my \"baby mama\" sent me, and pasted it into the forum.
Damn my \"baby Mama\" always getting me into some ****. |

Isn\'t that the truth! To be a true Saints fan you have to be able to get over a LOT. I was recently in New York and had an entire conversation about that. People told me in a pub about how our fans were able to laugh at their own team the most, but also defended and were more proud than most anywhere else from their experience. They were Jets fans and could feel \"our pain\" but respected the hell out of us for being so loyal.

I\'ll end the thread on a nice note:
Why did Jim Haslett get mad when his playbook was stolen?? He wasn\'t finished coloring it yet. Merry Christmas. |
