Our two hundred pound guys can't lead the tackle stats and thrive at their positions.
We do need their help in run support but they can't handle the lion's share.
It robs them of their ability to cover late in games and their durability late in seasons.
The front seven doing their jobs well, helps the DB's tremendously.
They are not built for banging ALL afternoon.
After so much they start making business decisions when that bruiser breaks through the line...

Re: Saints' defense: 'That's not who we are'

It is who they are. Missed tackles were atrocious, especially in the 2nd half. Missed tackles in the 2nd half is a symptom of bad conditioning and the rotation of the D-Line was suspect in the 1st and 2nd half.

The defense will get better as they get used to playing 60 minutes plus. It better happen quick...0-2 is a bad hole when you're already 0-1 in the division and 0-1 in the NFC.

Y'all can laugh at the Cleveland offense all you want, but if they are overlooked, we will be embarrassed in the Factory of Sadness this Sunday.

+1. I hear you Barry.. after watching that Saints D last week, you will get very little argument from me. They need to prove us wrong.

Re: Saints' defense: 'That's not who we are'

I agree with them

Its not uncommon for teams to have a bad game. That doesn't mean they're gonna look that bad for 16 games.

If Drew looked crappy in the 1st game of the season, would you say thats who his is? A crappy QB?

Sometimes you lay an egg. I do not for 1 second believe this defense is going to give up 600 yards per game all season season. Thats ridiculous.

I agree with you on everything you just said, but we don't have a lb. core to make a complete front 7, why we don't I can't say, it's been a strong point for Ryan for many years, but not now. A strong lb. core would make us extreamly stout.

"not who we are" ........PROVE IT!
Give us a reason to brag about our defense next week. I need to get this bad taste out of my mouth from last Sunday.
