I am hopeful they right the ship and make some success of the season. This reminds me of the 2007 season. After we made it to the 2006 Title game the team came out flat in 2007. It seems they read the reports of how good they are, have a cushy camp at the Greenbrier and then get whooped on the field. We are a soft team right now. This slide started in the 2nd half of last year when we threw away the Division lead. When will it stop is anyones guess but it sure seems this season is over before it ever got started. 0-2 is a big hole in the NFC. A big one. I am not going to let it ruin my day though. If a team of professionals can't put on a better display of football than this it wont do any good for me to worry about it.

We are who we are. Saying that we only lost because we screwed up against 2nd rate teams by being perfect imitations of ourselves is fundamentally delusional.

If we weren't the New Orleans Saints, who can't get its collective head out of its ass, then we would win the Super Bowl.

You are what your record is. Close games on the road lost by last second field goals by less-talented teams means you play to your competition. It means we are 0-2.

That is not elite. Sorry, can't buy the whole "we've only lost by last second field goals on the road." BS. This is middle of the road, average. We just get flat-out beaten (@SEA on Monday Night last year) is more acceptable than letting mid-to-low tier teams beat you with last second field goals. The latter is unacceptable, and should be unacceptable for a team with this much talent on both sides of the ball. BS.

Unless there is are a drastic change in heart and desire to win and NOT play to the level of competition, see you at 8-8 or worse.

They can still get it together, but the defense has to be the starting point, they have taken multiple steps backwards.

We all have a right to be pissed, this team doesnt look good at all. From coaching down, and yes our window is almost closed. We look slow, lost and that D is just plain bad.
If we drop two of the any of the next three..... You look at the rest of the season and tell me we are a playoff team

Our window is almost closed if we believe Brees has to throw for 300 yards a game for us to win. I'm sorry to say it I stand by what I believe. While Brees takes care of himself for being 35, his downfall is taking care of four kids. He is simply overworking whether he wants to admit it or not. But its easier than ever to get that read option QB in the draft and have him do well as a rookie. I think we'll be winning as long as we have a good defense and can run the ball. Its having a bad year so far but we had to start our first two games on the road.

Carolina won the division last year. Can they really win the south back to back when it hasn't been done? Are they the best defense ever fielded in this division? They played at the bucs who just lost to the rams at home and at home against the lions who have shown to have problems when Johnson is covered as well as Reggie. Their real season starts next week with Pittsburgh who are coming off a bitter loss and their upcoming teams are all playoff caliber teams, and if bucs go 0-3 I don't see how we do not have a chance to win this division.
