It is THAT bad

Horrible team. Just horrible. Both sides of the ball can share the blame. The suckage was a team effort. We will have a losing season once again and our window is probably just about shut. Its even worse that the Falcons got spanked like they did. Yea at least it was an AFC team but I don't see much hope for this ****ty team. It was supposed to be the best Saints team ever and so far it looks like the worst under Payton and Brees.

They let me too many **** ups happen in some point in the game, last week and this week.

Part of it has been on the million dollar man Drew Brees with his damn interceptions.

Re: It is THAT bad

I'm sick. We're making teams look like Superbowl contenders. The defense played better than the last game until we got trucked on the last drive.

The first half for the offense was sickening.

We just plain suck. I am so damned pissed that my wife couldn't take it and left the house. This isn't worth it.

Re: It is THAT bad

Disgusted. I'm disgusted. That 1st quarter lost the game. 3 straight 3-and-outs is garbage, regardless of which defense we play against. Brees looked freakin' lost out there for the first quarter and a half. The play calling in that time frame was horrible. Payton & McCarthy are to blame for that mess; Ryan is to blame for that mess at the end of the game. Cleveland's offense is one of the worst in the league. You don't let that crew drive over 90 yards in the final minutes to win ANY game.

Get used to it, folks. 0-2 is a hole that just lost us homefield advantage IF we even make the playoffs. Que Mora's "Playoffs?!?!...playoffs?!?!" rant.

Re: It is THAT bad

No, it's not that bad. Plenty of things can still happen. A 2011-ish rebound could very well happen. The Panthers went 0-2 last year and still made the playoffs.

Jesus, this place is turning into SR...

Hanging out on the line. Thinking about what he's gonna buy after the game.

That makes 5 straight regular season road losses in a row. 7-7 since the bye week of 2013. But some folks will tell you that your eyes are wrong Dude, and everything's all right!

0-2 is bad, but it's not THAT bad... we can still get back on track next week at home. We could easily run the table at home.

I figured right about now you guys could use some cheering up, ;) ... look at the bright side ... Wk #7, you'll be coming up to Ford Field for a confidence-builder game vs Detroit ... m'fers made Cam Newton & the Panthers look like Superbowl contenders today!:lol: ... it's always darkest before the dawn.

Re: It is THAT bad

Fires are going to be lit, home opener next week just seems we've been losing on small intricacies. We ran the ball effectively, we tackled better, the passing game is decent. If only we eliminate the road turnovers we will be back on track

Re: It is THAT bad

there was no defensive game scheme changes that i saw from last week. be happy if the saints end up in the top 16 this year on defense this year. some thing has to change. tapes out on us and we have no choice

Re: It is THAT bad

What da hell going on? If you running da ball that great, why in da hell you insist on throwing! If you going to pass at least keep a rb in the backfield. I am just going to say it, Sean Payton screwed this up. He even start phuckin with defense ',,,,, grrrrrrrr!

Bingo. We are a marginal factor in the NFC - at best.

What a TREMENDOUS letdown...

Yes, exactly. They kept Hoyer pretty much out of pressure. Think Ryan was afraid to blitz because of how good that OL is and how good they picked up the blitz?

It showed on that last pass play, and our idiots in the secondary just let the only WR weapon they have wide-the-f*** open.

This would have been unmerciful if Gordon and Cameron were playing today.

what about our awful performance against ATL...

face it last year was a fluke for this D, and in particular the D-line. Everyone wants to blame the DBs, and yes they do suck but our D-line gets no pressure every play.

It might be too quick to start calling for RR's job but hey this is what the Browns and Cowboys told us, Ryan good in the first year then sucks for the rest.

Re: It is THAT bad

Even if this team does pull its collective head out of its rear it is too late. We are already 2 behind in our division and the NFC.

Yes there are 14 games left. Yes we can still win and maybe get a wildcard if things roll our way, but we've screwed the pooch on this season being special digging an 0-2 hole against cream puffs.

Because I certainly don't

It is too quick for that, but history has a tendency of repeating itself. We have more talent on the D side of the ball than CLE & DAL had, but I don't think our talent level can overcome RR's schemes play-to-play and game-to-game.

One Hit Wonder? You start to wonder...

we'll have a shot at winning some games at home. I don't think we'll win any games on the road this year regardless of who we are playing.

I think we drop 2 games at home and end the season at 6-10. Ill also predict Ryan loses his job in the off-season.

Re: It is THAT bad

Man, I sure hope the team isn't a bunch of quitters like I'm seeing on here.
Two games do NOT make a season. What the hell ever happened to BELIEVE? I know we saw some things that make you want to crawl in a hole these last two weeks but we can't just roll over and die, because if we just give up then we never deserved tom be winners in the first place.

WHO DAT!!!

Re: It is THAT bad

If p-rob knocks one pass down on 3rd and 8 inside the browns 20 yard line, game over

Money well spent on Byrd too, losing track on the amount of picks he's got

We win next week at home. No way we keep up with Dallas in Dallas, though. Our defense seems to be worse than theirs, which seemed impossible a mere two weeks ago.

Once we go 1-3 with Carolina and Seattle going 4-0...ouch.

Re: It is THAT bad

I am hopeful they right the ship and make some success of the season. This reminds me of the 2007 season. After we made it to the 2006 Title game the team came out flat in 2007. It seems they read the reports of how good they are, have a cushy camp at the Greenbrier and then get whooped on the field. We are a soft team right now. This slide started in the 2nd half of last year when we threw away the Division lead. When will it stop is anyones guess but it sure seems this season is over before it ever got started. 0-2 is a big hole in the NFC. A big one. I am not going to let it ruin my day though. If a team of professionals can't put on a better display of football than this it wont do any good for me to worry about it.

Well, lets see. We had 2 games on the road last year that we blew a last second lead in (Carolina and New England), throw in the NYJ game because that was one we should have won as well, and we still came out fine last year. No win is given when we are playing outside of the Dome. We've played 2 hard road games and we've basically lost both of them on a last second field goal. We have plenty of time to turn this thing around, so I'm not investing in a paper bag yet. :whodat:

I don't think losing in the second round of the playoffs is "fine." I mean, I guess it's better than the 4-12 days but we've got a window of a year or two to win a SB before we enter full-on rebuilding mode. Without homefield in the playoffs, that becomes nearly impossible, especially if we play Seattle.

You're downplaying how hard it is to win in this league, especially in the NFC.

I don't think I am; it's that very fact that makes me believe we need to win now. We have a top 5 QB, two very strong RBs and a world-class TE. Once that falls apart, it's going to be a few years (at least) before we're able to field such a team again.

To waste the opportunity is not fine, in my humble opinion.

Carolina is going 4-0? I don't think so, they will lose one of the next two, maybe both. Steelers actually matchup well with teams like Carolina. Seattle is losing in SD so far.

Re: It is THAT bad

The sky is not falling

We lost a close game because our defense isn't up to par and our offense abandoned the run and played poor clock management yet again

This is a long season but the Saints are the Saints
They will adjust and find a way to win

xan 09-14-2014 07:09 PM

Re: It is THAT bad

We are who we are. Saying that we only lost because we screwed up against 2nd rate teams by being perfect imitations of ourselves is fundamentally delusional.

If we weren't the New Orleans Saints, who can't get its collective head out of its ass, then we would win the Super Bowl.

Yeah, How's that working for ya?

Barry from MS 09-14-2014 07:39 PM

Re: It is THAT bad

You are what your record is. Close games on the road lost by last second field goals by less-talented teams means you play to your competition. It means we are 0-2.

That is not elite. Sorry, can't buy the whole "we've only lost by last second field goals on the road." BS. This is middle of the road, average. We just get flat-out beaten (@SEA on Monday Night last year) is more acceptable than letting mid-to-low tier teams beat you with last second field goals. The latter is unacceptable, and should be unacceptable for a team with this much talent on both sides of the ball. BS.

Unless there is are a drastic change in heart and desire to win and NOT play to the level of competition, see you at 8-8 or worse.
