we have a chance
You guys are setting yourselves up for a huge HUGE letdown. It\'s as if ya\'ll haven\'t watched this team the last few years. We had an \"outside\" chance when we were 7-2 or whatever a couple of years ago, and 7-4 the year after that. We still didn\'t score in the first quarter today, special teams bailed us out. Offense did nothing for 3 quarters. Two weeks in a row scrub teams have let us hang around until the 4th, when we all know it is Brooks stat time, and he plays his best ball for whatever reason. That is not a formula for success. Just take the wins with a grain of salt or there will be a lot more heartache for you on the final day of the seaon when we evntually lay the egg we are famous for.

Outside? We\'re 6-8, we own a tie-breaker with the Lambs. We should be in the last WC spot no?
I agree totally Whoodi, but I\'m rooting again. Haslett ain\'t going anywhere, might as well hope for the playoffs. Our draft position and dreams of a coaching change are shot anyway... |

That hurts me more than anything else. Haslett stays, no high draft pick. 7-9 or 8-8 again, Haslett points at the late surge and convinces Benson Venturi and McCarthy can still coach. We see the same thing next year. Sorry, can\'t do it. When I doubted weeks ago, I was told \"No matter what happens, Haslett is gone this year anyway.\" Now he isn\'t. So NOTHING is certain to improve for this team next year. Nothing at all. Who is gonna buy tickets to see these coaches out there again next year?

Look I agree with everybody. After all - it is the time of goodwill
But it is frightening. Has-been is going to stay. So if we have to live with that; all we can pray for is some good cheer with the Saints winning. Look at what is left: If the Saints win out; i.e against dem Dirty Birds and at the Poncers - we are 8-8. Does that have a good ring to it? \"Good things come to those who are 8 and 8\". Remember that was last said. I do! The 2 challengers (LOL!) are: dem Sheep - home to the Eagles (ouch!) and to the Jets (ouch again!) the Poncers - at the Bucking Ears; and well you know that the other game. That\'s it folks. I figure - 2 wins and we are in. \"setting myself up for a HUGH letdown\". Are you kidding me. Do you know how much pain I have in my heart following the Saints. I do not know how I can be of more hurt. As Stevie Wonder said: \"You very soon in your mind realize that it\'s not just An ordinary pain in your heart\" |

No, we\'re one game out, upon further review... Looks like:
Philly 13-1 ATL 11-3 GB 8-6 Seattle 7-7 --- Min 8-6 Car 6-8 NO 6-8 Rams 6-8 Carolina is @ TB and then has us at home We\'ve got ATL and then we\'re at Carolina The Lambs have Philly and the Jets. I think they\'re out of it. The only way we go is to win out. We are 1-3 in division and 4-6 in conference. Carolina is 2-2 in div and 5-5 in conference. Thus, if we lose to ATL and Car beats the Bucs, but then we beat Car, the Panthers still go to the playoffs b/c we\'re split head to head and after that it goes to div, conference records. |

eliminate all but the top team in each division. By our loss to the Panthers, we\'d lose out there. Then the panthers beat the Rams. So Carolina is still the wild card. But we get them the last week of the season.
Going 6-0 in help games this weekend has put them in the drivers seat. Losses by Carolina, Dallas, Detroit, TB, St. Louis, and GB coupled with a win by Philly, means that Atlanta is locked into the 2nd seed, with no chance of moving up or down. So smart money says they\'ll rest their starters in prep for the divisional playoff. So the help game next week is the TB/Carolina game. We want TB to win next week. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

It also means we have to win 4 in a four. And 2 in a row have been hard to come by this year . But we got a chance. I mean, we can beat Atlanta and Carolina. Anything\'s possible. But right now I\'mma just enjoy this win and hope for another victory next weekend.
