Re: Report: Mark Ingram to miss several weeks with hand injury
Robinson has shown in the past he can make an impact and PT is always clutch. Not worried.

Re: Report: Mark Ingram to miss several weeks with hand injury
Some interesting notes I am using to temper my enthusiasm about our running game. I hope its merely coincidence.
To temper your temper (playing devil's advocate) Browns sold out the run to stop the big pass play: The Browns made it their mission to shut down New Orleans' downfield passing game. At times Cleveland had seven defensive backs on the field at once -- a tactic that frustrated Drew Brees into a sack and interception in the first half. Colston shut out; Brees passes Elway - New Orleans Saints Blog - ESPN That's exactly what the Saints need to happen. I hope it happens a lot. The Saints have the run game to take advantage of that of that for the first time in...well, forever. It's up to Payton to make teams pay for selling out one part of their defense. Bengals put up 170 yards rushing against Atlanta: Atlanta Falcons vs. Cincinnati Bengals - Box Score - September 14, 2014 - ESPN Bengals led from early on. They rushed a LOT. The Saints averaged a yard a carry more then the Bengals. Ingram averaged 4.6 yards/carry. Giovani Bernard averaged 3.3. As a matter of fact, all three Saints RBs averaged more than a yard per carry more than Bernard. |

Punched his locker instead of punching Rob Ryan.

I wonder if we'd look to resign a Tim Flanders or another free agent. Maybe even Strozier from Tulane.

Broken Hand
Mark Ingram - New Orleans Saints - 2014 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com Shefter: Mark Ingram has been diagnosed with a broken hand, and will be sidelined "at least" one month. It's a severe blow to both the Saints and fantasy owners. Ingram had finally turned a corner in his NFL career, running as well as any back in the league en route to 143 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries (5.95 YPC). Now the Saints will turn to talented Khiry Robinson for an expanded big-back role, while also relying on Pierre Thomas for more touches. With defenses showing so many dime looks against Drew Brees, the underrated Robinson is a must-add. Sep 15 - 12:29 PM |

Re: Report: Mark Ingram to miss several weeks with hand injury
Yea we kept all those backs for a reason. Pierre is just as productive as Ingram is when called upon and KR will get a shot to show what he is made of. Ingram will be back and hopefully pick up where he left off. Our line has been doing a much better job at run blocking so these guys should have plenty of opportunities to put up numbers. They are only as limited as the play calling.

I know our running game will be fine. I just hate the fact that the man was just starting to show his game a little and then this happens. Damn. Guy can't get a break.
