My initial thought was... "definitely worth a look", but damn this guy can't stay healthy.

I really like him...but he is cheap-saltines-fragile. Starting a sentence with "When healthy..." is not encouraging. Can we just sign him and have him only play in road games? The odds are in our favor for his availability with getting a high production MLB on the road then smothering him in bubble-wrap when we're in the Dome.

We are not looking for a franchise LB are we?

Sign him to a minimal contract guaranteed against injury and if we break him we cut him.... Next up. If we can get 5-6 games out of him before he crumbles we are better for it.

Sometimes we overlook good enough in our search for good.

We need really a stud LB and CB in the draft.

Exactly, he may be an all out player for 5 or 6 games. I don't know much about him except he's been injury riddled.

I could live with having a breakout performer at LB, even if it is only for a few weeks. I've forgotten what they look like.

I hear ya...an active LB that disrupts the field is something I haven't seen in such along time. As a new member here you guys will see me drop references to the Panthers as that is where I live now but dang what a defense they have led by Kuechly. Sure they have a pass rush too but he is what makes them go. And for the record I despise the Panthers...just making reference to them as they have a good to great defense that carries their mediocre offense.

I'd kill for a LB like him, but we seemed determine to try and find one like him in the middle to late rounds. We don't draft LB's in the 1st 3 rounds.

Why do we hate LB's?

Yeah I don't understand our LB strategy either. Like you mention we touch on it in the middle rounds and FA but the results are poor to mediocre at best.

I had a feeling Sean McDermott was going to be a good DCordinator for them. I hope he gets a HC job in the AFC next year.
