Demarco ain't exactly Eric Dickerson coming out of the backfield ... he has had a few nice games, however one good POP and off to IR. Just about as brittle as they come.

Keep laughing.

Murray is a Top-7 NFL back. Easily. 5.2 YPC, leading rusher in the NFL after 3 weeks. My only concern is his weird fumbling thing he's been doing, but that will get fixed.

And you all know about Dez.

But I'd love to know how your team is just going to magically "stop" Dez and Demarco.

Offensively we just need to get moving quick and sustain our drives. The defense needs more pass rush and to create turnovers. I'm baffled by our 1 turnover this year. 1?! 1 freakin turnover?!!!!

It's so ridiculous that I started laughing when I thought about it.

Byrd wont make a single play until they stop lining him up 30 yards away from the ball. And no one else seems to fight for the ball. I dont see a swarm of defenders attacking the ball either on most plays. It sounds absolutely ridiculous looking back on how they practiced creating turnovers all offseason if all they have is 1 FF/R throughout 3 games.

Agreed. Two problems for dallas is that as bad as our defense has looked at times we have a top 10 rushing defense. Plus, if St Louis 3rd string QB was able to light them up with basically one legit threat in Cook, I expect brees to have a pretty big day. If we bracket Dez and force romo to look elsewhere I think we will do pretty well.

I didn't realize Cowboys fans still existed anymore, much less have the audacity to post on other team message boards.

The cool thing about playing in Dallas is it will feel like a home game with so many Saints fans there.

It has all the makings of a score-fest...

So it'll probably end up 23-17 - a blown coverage and Cooks takes a screen 68 yards for the winning TD in overtime.

No magic to it, just like there was no magic to doing it last year
Dez Bryant

From last year, with Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins at safety...
Star receiver Dez Bryant, covered mostly by Keenan Lewis, did not have his first and only catch -- a 44-yarder -- until late in the third quarter. Jason Witten was held to two catches for 27 yards.

I suspect they'll get some yards though, they're great players.

Yup, my team hasn't done anything noteworthy in 20 years and I'm still a fan.

Die-hard Dallas fans are some of the best fans you'll find.

Funny how the games with two high flying offenses rarely turn into shootouts and generally are low scoring games. Saints should come out with the win -- just please -- no injuries! I am so sick of being shallow in the secondary.

Re: On to the Cowboys

We beat them 42-17 in '06 and the loss in '09, which was our only loss to them in the last 9 meetings, was 24-17... hardly a shootout. In 2012 we weren't even good and we still got a big lead and then just sat on it. We didn't sit on a big lead the next time we played them.

The Cowboys are perfectly suited for being pummeled by the Saints. Where we are strong they are weak. Where we are weak, they have greater weaknesses that mask their strengths. For instance, they have some good players on offense, but because they are so bad on defense they become one dimensional on offense, as they are always playing from behind. Then there's the Romo issues I mentioned before. That allows our defense to tee off, and offensively, as I said, they have no answer to stop us. There are other good offenses that they struggle with, but other than '09 where we slept through the first 3 quarters, we have been their kryptonite. That's why in my opinion this game represents the greatest test of where this team is mentally. If we can't pressure Romo, then our defense is truly bad and not just in a funk. And if we struggle against that defense then obviously we've got problems.

I don't anticipate that we'll struggle on offense, but I really want to see us get after Romo. We'll give up some plays like we always do, but if we force them into mistakes and get out to a nice early lead we should take control.

ball control, we need long sustained drives. Against their d we should, notice should be able to accomplish that. That will take pressure off our D and with a couple of decent plays we should be able to get a win.

I expect Brees to target cornerback Mo Claiborne EARLY and OFTEN. Outside of that INT late in their game against the Rams, Claiborne has been about as disappointing as Patrick Robinson has been for us over the last 3 years.

I read somewhere that they could bench him.

He definitely appears to be having an off season. His play was terrible in the Rams game but for the INT. I still think he has a lot of raw talent but folks forget he's a streaky player. Even at LSU his sophmore year was poor compared to his junior and final year before he was drafted.

Wow ... guess we'll find out come Sunday. They aren't all that pleased with Brandon Carr at the #1 CB spot either. After JJones unloaded the Well$ Fargo truck to him, he has been nothing more than adequate.

Deathstar nation has serious problems on D as well.

How about Moe Claiborne, straight up trade for Patrick Robinson, player for player trade. Just have them switch jerseys and pants right before the game. Both guys can shake hands and meet their new teams, and be equally totally unprepared for whatever happens in the game.

What the heck, why not, I say let's do it! Make it happen, Loomis!

Niners and Chiefs did that last season with WRs. A.J. Jenkins for Baldwin. Change of scenery didn't help though...

Only if Robinson is literally afraid to tackle like Mo is.

Somebody on PFT suggested that. Why would we trade a bust making $2 million in the last year of his contract, for another bust making $4 million in the 3rd year of his contract? That would be pretty stupid.

I know last year the reason given for his struggles was that Claiborne was a much better press corner, and Dallas was playing cover-2. He was a terrible fit for that scheme.

I don't know what cover schemes Dallas runs this year though.

If its true that he's a pure press-man to man CB, then it may be worth a look.

But for $4 million-plus? I'd rather just go with Corey White, who we know doesn't suck, than to take a chance on a guy who may not suck, but probably does.

If we traded for him we'd only be responsible for his base salary for 13 more games, which is 1.5 million, and we could cut him if he sucks with zero cap hit in 2015.

I think they're taking a second look at Derek Cox, someone we tried out when we picked up Keenan Lewis. He's getting guaranteed money from the Chargers already....

Re: On to the Cowboys

Cornerback Morris Claiborne skipped the Cowboys' walk-through practice and angrily left the club's Valley Ranch training facility Tuesday after being informed that Orlando Scandrick was replacing him in the starting lineup, multiple sources told ESPN.

The Cowboys could fine Claiborne for missing the practice or conduct detrimental to the team.

Claiborne's demotion came a few hours after Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show that the third-year cornerback had not been worth the sixth pick of the 2012 in the draft, which Dallas moved up to acquire.
