What brees did after the play happens pretty often with offensive lineman, brees was obviously irate, he shouted and pushed until the refs got in front of him

I'm not trying to be a homer, but I don't think brees did anything that warranted a flag, you see offensive lineman and defensive lineman do that every other play, no flag is thrown in those circumstances if it dies down after a couple seconds, which this one did

The refs reached for the flag as soon as brees was lifted in the air

It's all on the refs for not blowing the whistle sooner.
